When the UKEF was first discussed all things pointed to them only providing an 80% loan guarantee. Recently, that has been upped to 100%. I noticed this on their website and wondered if it might apply.

Two cruise ships on limited info does a cruise ship centre of excellence make. Great that we have the facilities and that they are being put to good use. Question is, are they being used for maximum profit generation or just looking busy and going some way to help making up the targeted revenue quota. Jobs like the Searose are brilliant. More of that please. At the mo the MAS Islander is just using up quay space, which does not restrict the use of the BDD for day to day maintenance work on other vessels. It is great to see the yard full and busy. But a cheap, accommodating, tradesperson will always be busy. Making a profit and getting return customers is a whole different thing.

Thanks Drango. Was just a thought regarding extra crew for the re-fit as the Cutter would have left Canada to rendezvous with the Searose. Did think that with the proximity of the airport it would also be beneficial also. Ideal for both this job and the cruise ship refitting. More so for personal than fixtures and fittings, obviously.

On Marine Traffic there is a free "Past Track" facility that shows a vessels last movements. I've just loaded up the obvious ones, guessed at the local, "usual suspects", put them all on mutliple tabs, syncronised them as best I could and then watched it play out.

Simples. :)

From watching it over the past week the Cutter has almost certainly been assisting the SeaRose up and down the Irish Sea. They came in towards the Belfast anchorage together at about 9pm last night where they were joined by the other vessel that has been assisting, the Multratug3. All three then manoeuvred about for a few hours, stopping several times, until they were joined around 2am by two local tugs, Merchantman and Masterman. More of the same until the Cutter left them to it at about 4am and anchored to the south where has been since.

Then around 5am the SeaRose, assisted by the two local tugs and the Multratug3 journeyed into port and was moored up at the D1S at around 7am. At about 11am the three of them took her over to the OQ where she sits now.

There was no doubt that the Cutter helped bring the SeaRose over to Belfast and as always the local tugs bring them in the last part. Same as at some point the pilot boat would have taken someone out to the ship to bring her in that last part.

There will be a hundred or so of Cenovus Energy's own staff working alongside the local crew so they may well have travelled over on the Cutter if not already onboard the SeaRose. The Cutters job was to get her here, not to have a bit of work done . imo

Also, the Monika is still moored up at the commissioning quay right next to the entrance of the building dock. It is due out at 10:30 tonight and so give way for the Maersk Cutter that is assisting the SeaRose. As that is due to moor there next.

Mentioned similar regarding the draught the other day and noted that the highest tides for the month were around the time they had allotted for it's docking. But have never seen a vessel move so much before docking though. It's pacing like an expectant farther going up and down the Irish Sea. Was almost down as far as Anglesey last night. I know I joked about it having to keep moving or it will sink, but it is odd.

Yes, Stokey,indeed it willbe something to behold. Wasn't sure if the green tugs were a seperate thing, Lottie. Thought that they may have been part of the Echandia partnership. There was one about design and build of fishing boats before those. But that kind of went off the radar after all those Skipper shows they attended.

Last year between mid to late February there were a number of RNS's in quick succsession. A Cory Barges Update, a Methil Update, one about planning application in Belfast and a collection of contract wins. It wasn't until the 1st March that there was an actual Business and Outlook Update RNS. Could we have to wait until then before we get one of those all-emcompassing type updates. Besides an update as regards to the Islandmagee Judicial Review. Which we may have to wait for. There is a whole list of things that would be good to get some sort of update or progress report on. Including, but not limited to:-

New Aberdeen Subsidiary

Partnership with Echandia

First Contract Win by Harland & Wolff (USA)

New Aluminium Vessel Build

Oh, and maybe an update re. the "proposed" Credit Facility.

I certainly don't know enough, or even care enough, to argue if you are right or not. So, I responded in a lighthearted way that I thought suited the post.

Fwiw, I do see a chance to take a bit more profit from here over the near future. But, I'm still not going to beleive anything the ceo says. But I learnt that maybe I don't have to. Just got to get the timings right and do my own thing too.
