We can all interpret the same things differently sometimes, BT. That's what makes these boards so difficult to navigate on occasion. Worth bearing in mind that sometimes tempers can be a little fraught when things are on a bit of a continued down slope. So when you are reminding people of negative issues, remember that it can be a little wearing and put people on their guard when at other times you want to just have a conversation. Not really my place but I must say, of late, you do seem a little more... thinks of a nice way to put it... forcefull of opinion, even, dare I say, argumentative.

According to the wiki and using the IMO number and marine traffic, it confirms that it is moored up in Rosyth.

BT, I wouldn't trust journos to know the difference between a wet one and a dry one, tbh. But I don't understand the issue. As you admitted, the building dock can be split. So can be both wet or dry. Independant of the other half. That's how the made multiple hulls, in a production line, in the past. Not sure of the exact locations permited by Intermediate dock gates. It just says, "at predetermined locations along the length of dock allowing a part wet, part dry arrangement."

The SeaRose is 271m, the dock is 556m. That leaves 385m. The mas Islander is 292.5m for comparison. Bit of wiggle room.

Couldn't find the spec on the Odyssey just yet.

All good if a lot of similar trades people are already in port doing up one cruise ship. Mighyt already have been pre-arranged for all we know.

What do want? It's a board about shares. Price being a major part of that. They even have an opinion thingy you can select that goes from strong buy to strong sell. Not that most people care what someone elses opinion is when it come to such issues. It seems in most cases, the tend to do absolutely nothing about a bad call but just sit by and watch it, slowly dripping down. Awuful? Yeah, that's awful.

Maybe awful if you bought too much, too high, too soon, too late... Been there before. Awful, if you believed the hype being spouted by some. Yeah, been there too. But most definitley awful if you did nothing about the situation but moan about it. People "keep saying" a lot of the same things. Get such and such sorted and the buyers will come. And when that didn't work, it's oh, yeah, but just got to get this sorted or that sorted and the buyers will come.

Yeah, good luck with that strategy as it seems to be working out just peachy. :)

Morning K. Yes there are two Aremiti's. 6 currently over at Moorea. I don't have full access to any of the trackers either. Just whatever is free to use. The Aremiti 5 has moved around to various moorings and is currently moored up on the other side to it's earlier position. Not sure if posting this link will help, but...

I always imagine that everyone reads all the same boards and groups that are available so it may not be news to you that some were saying that they may being having difficulty manning the vessel for the voyage. Oviously pure supposition and guesswork in the absence of any real news.

11th-13th coinsides with the highest tides of the month,fwiw. But in all honesty, we can see it's coming in soon and when it finally docks is not going to change the amount H&W get paid for the job. More interested in seeing when the new ferry starts it's journey and if anything unexpected, like the mas Islander, pops up. That's one thing about ship traffic watching is that, in the absence of some sort of a trading update, it is something tangible that can be seen as evience of activity.

So, shall wait to see if we get any pics of roast puffin for supper. :)

Was just going by what some of the islanders were saying at the time that the Aremiti 5 was announced as the new vessel. The transport vessel that was at the same location in Tahiti has indeed gone the Panama way. Being a much larger vessel, could one assume that it had a greater range between ports and able to cross larger bodies of water. There was also an issue with long delays via the canal due to drought. What I read at the time seemed to suggest that they were restricting any unscheduled trips through. That's all the info I've got to work with, atm. :)

Last I heard was that it would take approx. 60 days to sail her over to Belfast from Papeete. Unsure which route that was and if the Red Sea issues were about when that was stated. But regardless, it is going to start eating into the limited season if they don't hurry up and get it over here,re-painted and set to work. It's also going to quell some of the initial excitement shown for the new service if there are going to be any delays.
