Think you need to determine what are Nominee accounts and what are actual Institutional Holders holding in their own right. Seems the terms get used as if they are interchangeable or mean the same thing, when in fact they are not at all. AFAIA

Not going to argue the point any more, other than to say it would be hard to name a list of UK banks that both hold large amounts of nominee accounts and that are not included on that UKEF list.

You're only seeing what they company decides to include on their page. There have been manny instances where known holdings have not been included. Fwiw, for over ten years i've been keeping a running total of shares in issue, TR1 holdings, BoD holdings, warrants, options, etc. As much info as I can, cross checked against other sites of such info. So I'm not relying on memory and not relying on the companies web page. That was why I was going on and on about what the page was saying about Killiks holdings was wrong. It's taken them a year to correct what I could see didn't match up.

So join the dots by all means, add it up and get something that works for you, if you want. But don't add dots where there aren't any and do check your maths as you go. :)

And there was me thinking it was because I hold my shares through Barclays. :)

Couldn't say for certain but I would imagine they are more likely to be the sum total of nominee accounts held through those banks.

NB. Made a mistake copying over the details from my spreadsheet. There was no change for Halifax.

Didn't know that about ii, Stokey. That would explain why they are not on the list.

It always seems a bit hit and miss who they decide to put on the SigHo's page. Not sure why Interactive Investors is not included this time as I'm sure there must be lots of retail investors with nominee holdings with them.

But still no actual insti's, afaics. They all seem to be nominee accounts of various types including HNW accounts such as Killik etc. H&W have never been very good at maintaining the register that they post on their website.

Killik only ever went down as far as 5.5%, although it was shown incorectly as 6.92% on the SigHo's page when last updated on the 20/02/23. So no change, afaics.

Okay, the Islander could fit in either without much problems, afaics. But what about the issues I posted about in the, "Searose issues at home" thread regarding the draught of the SeaRose. Seems to me, it sits too low in the water to get over the sill of the building dock and that was why it was docked in the deeper Belfast dock on it's last visit.

TBH, not that it matters, I'm still uncertain from the responses which dock.

"Is the other dock big enough?" So what was the initial dock being referenced for there to be another?

"yes will be here in Belfast! Yes we fit in the dry dock!!! ". But, there are two.

Noticed on that LinkedIn thread that the Staff Capt. said "wet docking and works", when asked what it will be doing until it's taken into drydock in March. Due to costs, I can't imagine why it would need to go in before it was absoluetly essential. I also think, if it's being done at Belfast, that would be for the paint job. Posted before , but according to the cruise press the now Islander ( formerly the Atlantica) has not been used since the pandemic and was drydocked in the spring of last year. I'm guessing for inspection purposes in preperation for it's sale to MAS.

There may be something going on, but until we hear anything to the contrary, I'm not sure there is even going to be any work on the Thun Gratitude given it's short length of stay and the mooring allocated for it. The Thun vessels are constantly in and out of that area by the OQ. The Thun Lundy is currently at the Oil Berth 1 alongside the OQ. Maybe it's just being parked at the OQ until it can unload. It's been doing runs between Milford Haven and Londonderry recently so it is coming out of its way. Have wait for the social media posts I guess. :)

As regards work on either an oil tanker or a fishing boat. I guess either could, "undergo extensive cleaning and replacing works to both [their] engine room and fuel tanks". But yes, tankers are obviously more robust, but most have twin walled hulls and the side shells being the outermost take the brunt of any scapes and dings.

Whip 'em off, weld on some replacemnet plates, quick respray and the job's a good 'un. Next.... ;)

I remember the conversation as I recall posting about Cenovus's only other FPSO that was worked on by Navantia in Spain. The article that I posted showed the large amount of their own people that will be in attendance. Something I guessed those site offices were being delivered for.

Yes, was going to ask about that. When I look at the yards via a map or vessel finder, to me, the two drydocks are oriented more north- south in relation to each other. The Belfast dock being ever so slightly more east than the building dock. So I was curious what he meant by that response to the Jim Downie poster.

FWIW. After close examination of the pictures in K's 00:08 post it would seem that the gates are in place as the building dock looks to be drained. Could that be in preperation for an incoming vessel?

Heavy on the hyperbole, keep adding more layers; additional complexity or divergence.

TBH, I don't think anyone could have predicted the outcome of the Saipem contract. Afaia, the contract was on the cards for the previous owners and probally a reason the yard was taken on. It was just unfortunate the way it went. Might have been a completely different story.
