Looks like a buying opportunity there.

Seeing Machines are over 2 pence down off the highs earlier this year so swings and roundabouts.

I bought a shedload early pandemic under 2 pence and got my money back twice over.

There is a danger that the driver assist and monitoring systems are found to be over-complicated or even unworkable.

What is needed is extensive real-world testing by professional test drivers and ideally driving test examiners. They might find some problems leading to product recalls or the regulations might have to be changed.

This is the early stages and nothing is ever definite until it is certain.

Driver monitoring systems and driver assis tech could actually damage sales.

The main point will be whether or not the car buyers want all

the over-complicated technology and audible warnings, flashing warning lights,

vibrating seat alarms and complications with where the technology can and can not

be used and if it is raining some systems don't work.

It is essential to find other applications for Seeing Machines tech

New car registrations fell in Europe in 2022 and are below pre-pandemic levels.

More people are reportedly hanging on to their cars for longer due to the cost of living crisis and the prohibitive cost of vehicle finance and rising new car prices.

That is the real state of the European car market.

The BOD need to find more applications for Seeing Machines technology and get more contracts signed.

There are so many different news stories and sets of statistics that this is difficult to keep track of.

My understanding is that TESLA lead BYD on sales volume and they are in positions 1 and 2 for EV sales.

Neither company have any connection with Seeing Machines.

Like all other manufacturers their vehicles can be ordered with or without any

over-complicated DMS or driver assist systems.

The main point here is neither BYD or TESLA use Seeing Machines technology.

The news flow is at fever pitch. The UAW strikes could be spreading to other sectors, this could be coincidental in my opinion but still not good for the economy overall.

There are conflicting opinions on whether the UAW disputes are getting close to being resolved.

Friday is usually the day for news on further walkouts.

IMO, if this isn't sorted out soon there could be a disastrous affect on the US economy.

According to the available figures, Smart Eye have considerably more OEMs signed up than Seeing Machines and passed 1 Million vehicles on the road over a year ago.

Does anyone think it is a good idea to have cars on the road that can be steered with only the driver's eyes?

This technology and ALL driver assist or monitoring systems need proper extensive testing by expert test drivers and ideally driving test examiners before being allowed anywhere near the public highway.

There are lives at stake and road safety issues must be taken 100% seriously.

There is no margin of error.

Just to clarify this, the first Fisker sold in the UK that I can find was over 10 years ago and was auctioned for charity.

That one almost certainly didn't have any complicated DMS or driver assist systems fitted.

Smart eye are the most likely company to win any bus contracts.

Check the recent news about their AIS winning the award.

Smarteye recently won a prestigious award for their AIS system.

They might do a cash raise for an acquisition?

The question is do the cars have SEE tech in them?

Some buyers might not want all the complications of DMS and whatever other driver assist systems might be fitted to any car, not just Fiskers.

This is why I am intent on rattling the BOD to get more contracts signed and find other applications for their technology.

Does anyone here think that a vehicle that allegedly allows the steering to be operated with inly the driver's eyes would have to go through rigorous testing before being allowed to go on sale?

Maybe this should be included in driving tests?

Perhaps the driver might want to have greater control over where they look?

Ford announces a further wave of layoffs this time in plants producing transmissions and axles.

GM estimates the strikes cost the company $200 Million in the first 2 weeks.

Elsewhere there are reports that the strikes cost the economy $4 Billion in 2 weeks.

Does anyone think that excess speed contributes to a higher proportion of road traffic incidents, avoiding the D word, than most other factors?

Do any of you think it is time to examine what these driver assist and driver monitoring systems actually do?

How do these systems perform in the real world?

It is obvious in my opinion that a lot of rigorous testing is required before any of these driver monitoring and assist systems could be included in any driver testing. By that I mean driving tests.

How could these systems not be included in driving tests?

Did you not get the news that dealerships were stockpiling vehicles during the months leading up to the strike in anticipation of disruption to supply?

It is important to consider all of the available information.

If you study the market enough to get some understanding of why sales increased you will learn more than if you search for what you want to read.

Are You aware that because hybrid and EV sales increase then those buyers didn't buy an ICE vehicle?

Did you know that dealerships were stockpiling vehicles in anticipation of the strikes during that period?
