Some ridiculous de-ramping this morning which is always a good sign, it's not as if we haven't got four other ongoing operations to keep us busy. I'm no expert in this form of financing and there will be reams of small print but from the information we've been given it appears the institution's loan is not secured against production from our other already proven wells but purely on Niko-1. They may must be 100% confident that our data gathered so far at Niko-1 and flow rates etc from recent operations elsewhere have virtually de-risked the Taribani model already.

Quite right Bradis we were all bemused by the falling SP as production started with the promise of being ramped up. Obviously the problems had leaked, in retrospect Colin's puny buy on the way down was a red flag. The best service these chancers can do is to shift the company asap 1.5 - 2p, but I expect their arrogance will prevail and they will be over ambitious and we'll end up with nowt.

I had been watching AST for years before I invested. When I saw the SP and the imminent production to Croatia last year I thought there was a massive dislocation between the position of the company and it's mcap. We were told the wells would slowly increase their output, INA was imminent and cash flow would secure bank debt for the gas facility. From the CH's interview yesterday it is a fact that they always knew about the problem at Pg11A (unlike us) and notwithstanding the risk I totally accept with every investment anyone investing at that time was cheated. I had always put Colin's awkwardness on camera down to simply not being a natural performer in front of the camera. We now know different and the shifty disposition was as bad as ever yesterday. PI's have been 100% misled but I don't expect any action to be taken by the authorities, just hope we can get something back, but honestly in the current position 2p has to be optimistic and time is not on our side before that starts falling, not a good hand.

Fair enough but I think some of the (longer) long-term holders could hardly be accused of impatience. I think it's fair to say I'm a 'mid-termer' and I've always suspected that much of the recent rise to the 80's was in anticipation of the gas, it was a big factor in my own decision to invest. Looks like the market has digested the decent newsflow on the oil which was expected but the near blackout on UD-2 together with fund-raising fears plus speculation over the persistent seller is really starting to bite. Need positive facts soon or the slide could accelerate.

Doubt it will have any effect on us but interesting that it was their step-out that failed. In reality their license has no bearing on us of course, but it may add to the perception that Morocco is patchy.

I have worked at Sandbanks and it has become a hideous place. If global warming ever causes a rise in sea levels then the one upside will be the ostentatious wealthy going underwater. I hope the last pensioner who gallantly held out against the property developers is still fighting them off.

I suspect a lot of the obsessive serial de-rampers are just indelibly damaged from missing our initial rise from the low teens. They're all hoping for another chance and while I never dreamed we'd see the 30's again I sense the SP could be on the mend next week. I would urge anyone who hasn't yet listened in to Radio Norwich to tune in asap - almost bought a Corby trouser press today in my delerium!

Oh Ducati2 was it? Thanks again D. Sundaysun perhaps 'hesitancy' implied a criticism I didn't intend. I was just so struck by the cautious way he chose his words that particularly after the opening comments about the neighbours there was a palpable sense that the team are aware of other ears and they don't want to give up their hard earned information lightly. Obvious I know, but the balance between keeping the shareholders happy and guarding valuable data has never been such a delicate balancing act.

Thanks to whoever loaded up the Norwich audio file. One of the most fascinating Sound presentations I've ever heard. Brian's hesitancy is partially his personality - he is quietly spoken and yes it's frustrating to listen to when you're craving some tub-thumping positivity, but the cymbal clashing moments are in there just listen carefully. Something else, right at the start Brian mentions Shell sitting on the sidelines on the next licence watching while we explore. Whether that means they are coveting our plot I have no idea but it set the cautious tone of his entire presentation and I'm certain our team are anxious not to give anything away that would ease a competitors path to success on their own licence regardless of what happens to us. I think everyone is aware that our team are playing their cards much closer to their chest than usual but it's not to keep the shareholders guessing it's the blimmin high rollers peeking over their shoulder. Finally I've had a big wobble recently in reaction partly to what I heard about Norwich but having listened to Brian's contribution and James taking the big debates on Director dealings head on I'm relieved I didn't react emotionally with my holding, will be adding.

Thanks I know I'm just feeling it for the first time. As PI's you're so up against it at times like this and the CEO's reassurances while they all manoeuvre themselves and the inner sanctum has really p$%^^d me off and shattered the illusion of SOU having a unique approach to it's PI's. Operationally I accept this is complex and obviously rushing the analysis would be ludicrous.

You know I really can't articulate my feelings at the moment. Had a joke about things last night but hoped for some encouragement this morning. I fully appreciate the complexities involved in choosing the location for TE-9 but honestly talking openly of 5 or 6 possibilities is just breeding more uncertainty and is going to be seized upon today. With the current market sentiment and positivity at Echo and SDX we are facing another murderous day here. God I'm depressed it's starting to feel orchestrated.

It wasn't a presenter from Radio Norwich was it? Hang on Alan Partridge... never seen in the same room are they? Come on James get us out of this at 101p plus we haven't all got the wealth, future feathered nests and expensive accountants to make it a heads I win tails I win situation.

For all the technical analysis and suspicious share sales two red flags stand out for me - JP sitting backwards on a chair - 'Kids from Fame' style (one for the youngsters there) at a Morocco trip and his insistence on wearing a winged collar at black tie events (try and find a picture of George Clooney doing that). For the record joking aside I still believe.... just.

Quite so at least a week old. To be fair when they're working flat out I'd imagine it's a pretty unpopular request for the PR company to contact the site manager with "Is there anyone free to take some snaps?".

Good question with the company guidance that TE-9 drilling will be July - Oct this year, at this rate heaven knows where the SP will be by then. As I said yesterday given the skills profile of our new Non-Exec it would appear to pretty much rule out a sale on seismic. I was surprised they emphasised the project delivery and operational side so much as we now seem condemned to a perpetual slide up to TE-9. I admit to my morale being at an all-time low, it has absolutely nothing to do with the goon squad but just the complete inability to produce any good news from anywhere. The SP does matter as we are becoming increasingly vunerable as the Mcap shrinks and non-dilutive fund-raising will become tougher and tougher. In the meantime what's going to halt this slide? Brian once told us that the inability to attract new institutional investors was because they felt they'd missed the boat, well we're definitely back in port and listing badly. I'm not looking round for blame this was my investment and my risk alone but there are a litany of JP soundbites that will haunt me forever if this does goes t*^�s up. For balance the man never dodges his PI's which I do admire, could be an expensive crush though! :))

Who these people are and why they do it? I genuinely believe most are just disenfranchised individuals who have found an amusing platform for winding people up while looking for the optimum entry point (in some cases not even bothered with that). There are other types but I don't want to get too long-winded as the point I really want to make is that sooner or later the owners of this type of board are going to have to accept that they are PUBLISHERS and not just conduits of opinion making the minimum effort to regulate. Of course the big boys like Facebook and Twitter are pulling the same way in refusing to take on the responsibilities of a conventional publisher but I believe there will eventually be a high profile test case when maybe a well known blue chip gets defamed and decides to defend its reputation in court. Someone like LSE will be the initial casualty but social media generally will change.... eventually.
