I know what you're getting at SE, such is the delay since 'finalising plans' and now 'partner approval' (a personal obsession I know!) which is clearly buying time, that we are in the perplexing position that the conspiracy theory is the only logical explanation. Think I know what I mean...

Problem with an apparently co-ordinated ramp is that it can look like a group pump and dump. I wonder how many genuine investors will be considering their positions? In the bigger picture though the Niko investment does a lot to par my doubts. It has been suggested that some of us have taken this prank too seriously but while we all like to lift the gloom at times, folk have got their hard earned in this and the last thing we need are more riddles.

If anything this sort of thing rings alarm bells for me, strange to see some long term regulars seemingly become attention seeking fantasists. Gentleman do the decent thing and declare this a wind up or indicate the mind blowing buys you made on the back of your information - if my instincts are proved wrong I will apologise.

I don't disagree with anything you say Edman except that I think the negativity is understandable and this is a reasonable place to express it. I have always felt that much of the perceived de-ramping is just a cathartic expression of frustration rather than orchestrated shorting. I do think the company score some own goals with their comms but equally they have been trailblazers of openness when the time is right. In my opinion the TE-9 location RNS could have waited until everyone was in concord particularly following hot on the heels of plenty of other updates. More importantly as time lapses waiting for the approval we are open to a litany of conspiracy theories as to why it wasn't a routine bit of admin. Here's one! SOU are telling us that they're ready to go but are frustrated by disagreements amongst the partners, or maybe it simply takes a couple of weeks to get the top brass together to get pen to paper? Who knows did it come out of the blue that they would be expected to approve the plan following the planning?? Okay I'll shut up for the day, need to do some work and I freely admit that the fact I'm posting more now than in the last 5 years proves the pressure is getting to me! More than ever GLA (genuine investors)

Not sure Del, I'm going to drop a bombshell now and admit that I'm no expert on doing corporate deals with multi-nationals..... (oh you knew) but isn't it likely that to get any kind of a value by selling pre-TE-9 it would be a massively complex arrangement likely to leave shareholders with a stake in the on-going fortunes of the new operator? I don't know but I just can't see anyone coming up with the kind of figures discussed until we have proved multi TCF with the drill programme. All we can go on as mere PI's is where the market places us with what we have proven at this point plus a premium of value added by the de-risking affect of the seismic across the field. Where realistically would that put a price tag for a complete take-out before TE-9?

Cheer up, if we're really lucky we might get a Tweet tomorrow confirming partner approval 40% complete.

Quite agree - on a serious note we do need facts and figures asap. All feels like a riddle at the moment so can't blame people for bailing out on the rise.

Not sure, suspect we'll get partner approval and ground works commencing at the same time. I was suspicious that the 'partner approval' comment on the last RNS was a mechanism to spin things out even more though. If they think they were being clever with that then the deafening backfire is that the longer it goes on then the more it looks like a possible difference of opinion. I don't believe that's the case but they're delaying for some reason and that's how it's going to be percieved.

Thanks for the measured reply RR - while you're absolutely right I have also had a few stocks where I look back and wish I'd panicked a bit earlier! That's what makes this game so tough.
