Everything you write has a positive finish. You aren't able to rationally debate this share, giving positives and negatives equal scrutiny. As far as I can tell, others on here, are being objective and are suffering from holding this share for quite some time with the price perhaps not reflecting the value this share has to offer. You however, are just a ramper.

Anyone know what this might be? Isn't it the Rabul-5 drill? Does anyone know what date we might expect news on that one to drop?

Yep, I am a libertarian. Taxation (unless agreed to is theft). The Egyptian government however are really going for it though. Anyway, let's not get in a philosophical debate as it won't end well. Despite the robbery in Egypt, SDX do still have a fantastic opportunity there.

Africa (and other places) have a history of doing things like this. At some point crooks in the Burundi government may decide to follow suit. At the moment though it's not a concern. I should add that I don't just consider African governments to be crooks and thieves, as these are qualities every government in the world possess.

This is why the good result at Rabul turned in to such a pathetic net result for SDX. It's not like the Egyptian government even put any capex in like IPR do.

My understanding is that the Egyptian government take a 50% share of production and then after that sdx have a 55% in 50% of the asset so after these two things sdx now have just over 25% of production to themselves. Then the government will expect tax on profits from that ~25% stake. Robbery plain and simple. That's my gripe.

Yes, SDX need large volumes in SD due to the awful fiscal regime in Egypt. 1TCF would be great though.

The upcoming drills in SD are NOT targeting 2.5TCF. They are targeting up to 150bcf (so quite possibly considerably less than 150bcf). That said if the exploration drills come in and they confirm connectivity of the structures this de-risks very considerably the 2.5TCF which they will presumably look to prove up at a later date.

They are going for 150bcf with the current drilling in SD yes but I think the point is if he drills come in it de-risks the potential of South Disoq and 2.2-2.5TCF has been quoted in various SDX media. Last time I saw it was in the December presentation near the end I think. Yes, just had a look, it's on page 20 of December presentation; "Total volume potential could exceed 2.5 TCF (unrisked)."

Yes if the North comes in and that 2.5TCF of gas gets de-risked in South Disoq, well, who knows what could happen to the share price. These two prospects must be why Michael Raynes and MEA Energy are so keen on SDX.

PW says end of next year to get the pipe filled without compression. So probably add another 6 months to a year on to that unless there's a major gas find.

It would be extremely positive if this could break 18.5p today as it's been capped there for 4 days now.

Thanks Leapfrog. Try to convert mscf's to boe's isn't really useful (or accurate) sadly. It can give you a approximate figure for their equivalency in energy terms but what we are really interested in is how much money can SDX get from an mscf. At 6M scf/day SDX are making approximately $54,000 per day (6000mscf/day x $9 profit/mscf). At 7M scf/day SDX will make approximately $63,000 per day in profits. Not bad.

Hi Leapfrog, do you mind explaining your figures and calculations please? Presumably you are getting 1000 BOED from 6M scf/day? How are you coming to 1170 BOED? Cheers

Sadly sellers still abound at this level, stopping this immediately breaking out the downward channel it's been stuck in since the very end of last year. Once we break out of this, we have the recent gap down from the 20th-21st March from about 49.5p to 49p. If we do break out of this downward channel I would expect this gap to stop upward progress for a while with a retest of the topside of the channel before 'hopefully' continuing upwards! https://ibb.co/dAp8oS

Well then, someone is going to have to notify soon then. Unless it really is the drilling crew, they likely won't have enough money to buy 3% each.

Could the buyer not already be somebody who had more than 3%?
