You don't make out in company media you are going to almost 10x current production from projected YE 2018 levels from exploratory drilling in the hopes you might hit an elephant. The only thing I can think of that would push the production level that high so quickly is an acquisition. Are they working on another? It would seem strange that they are as they would have also have to have been working on it at the same time as the BP deal. There's just no way they could do two big deals, they couldn't even make one work for them. I really have no idea what is going on regarding the 75k boepd figure. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Meanwhile, natural gas is approaching $4/mcf (currently $3.75). I know SD gas is contracted but if (more likely when) further volumes are discovered in Egypt and Morocco perhaps they'll get slightly better pricing in the future years.

The guy might be a little off with his $22m per quarter as I think he might be confusing BoOE's with BoO. Yes SDX are increasing to 8000BoOE (hopefully) by the end of the year but those extra BoOE in Egypt coming from SD will not sell for the same price as a BoO. I think $15m/$16m per quarter might be more accurate. Still a lot.

I feel like that kind of rise is warranted but I just don't think we'll get it. I hope I am wrong! TGL was producing around 15k boe/d with most of that being oil and really was stupidly cheap and is now currently only valued at around £140m. I don't think we'll see that kind of rise in the current market.

Not SDX's MO to bottle the stuff. I expect they will want higher pricing in the future for their contracts too. Doesn't really make all that much sense. Not sure who they'd have to buy or compete with either.

Angela, you misunderstand, I refer to his timelines as optimistic, that's it. Things often take longer than PW makes out. That's all.

This comment made me lol. You are completely wrong here. Of course I can't prove that, but you also can't prove that I am trying to cause negative sentiment here. But we live in an age were proof and evidence is so last century so I doubt that will make you rethink your statement.

This company is amazing, the only small gripe I have with it is PW being slightly over-optimistic, that's really it. The share price however really is diabolical and I still think there are shenanigans going on in the background here but who knows really.

Oh and just to further troll you, UKOG is now valued over £7m higher than SDX because it's quite clearly a better company than SDX. 5 billion plus shares outstanding versus SDX's 204m, just one marker of how much better it is. One of their flagship wells flowed OVER 400 barrels per day recently too. Why are we invested here? Such mugs.

The exploration in Egypt and Morocco doesn't even start until next year, this just doesn't seem possible without an acquisition.

How on earth are they going to get to 75,000 boe/d in 12 months? They'll need to acquire something or get some huge exploration successes (both oil and gas) and in Egypt those finds will have to be very big due to their low economic interest there.

No one has stumped up to pay the Ask today and so far every trade has been selling in to the Bid. Clearly a hungry buyer there as the price hasn't budged.

Tigris, I don't think anyone can really say with any certainty what is causing the price weakness with SDX. It happens continually, regardless of what happens. Good news and the price goes down, it not immediately, after a rise. Bad news (not that SDX has really released anything that might amount to actual bad news since I've been invested to be honest) and the share price goes down. It inexplicable.

1. I too would like to hear about just what is going on at SD. Even if it is delayed by a few months it shouldn't really matter all that much. Although it will to the share price which will undoubtedly tank if a delay is announced. Immensely irrational as the company is ALREADY undervalued.

2. I don't think they'll hit 10 mmscf/d here this year. 8 might be a stretch. Again, shouldn't matter to the share price but it will if this gets announced.

Doubler, don't count on higher oil prices or even oil prices at this level in the future. The world cannot handle higher oil prices. Sdx need to get the transition to primary gas producer underway. Getting SD online is the start.

Somebody bought those 480k shares Furey, that's how trade works. You can't just sell 480k shares in to the ether and somehow get the money for them. Someone sold those shares and someone just bought them.

A gap from before this year's big rise has just closed today. The 30,000 trade at 47.77p did it. Can you believe the bottom of the gap was... 47.77p? I will post a chart later. I don't know why this happens, just that it does. I thought the price had got close enough to closing the gap before and it looked like it had - given the big rise we saw - but here we are again.

The gift-horse keeps not taking me as far as it should, not particularly quickly. Then it decides to turn around and go back without reason, then throws me off and kicks me in the nuts.
