Sigh. I never said that I KNEW it was going lower. I don't KNOW what the share price is going to do that's why I never sell any here (apart from one time this year where I sold a few at 72p, in hindsight I wish I had sold the lot and bought back today).

That said I THOUGHT it might go lower a few weeks ago and I was right, not because I KNEW though. I am not full of sh*t, but I think you are too full of emotion for your own good. Emotions and the stock market do not mix. But it does allow those that can control their emotions to buy on the cheap and make fat profits. For what it's worth, I am glad you're invested here furey ;)

Being able to funderstand large capital expenditure programs purely from cash flow and cash accrued from previous cash flow is a very rare thing indeed. Value adding capital expenditure at that. But no one cares in a market sell off. I picked up cheap shares at 37p this week and looks like I might get some more a little cheaper still.

Tax loss selling and the oil price plunge combined with a stock market sell off has absolutely smashed this.

Morocco really is quite a mouth watering prospect. Even at just 10mmscf/d, they can generate something like US$26m/year in profits after accounting for costs and the State take of 25%.

I don't want to see him replaced, even if he is chronically over-optimistic. I don't think PW is the reason the SP is where it is. He has been a very good CEO.

Like when he said SD would probably be online by the end of the year only a couple weeks before announcing it would be delayed by about 6 months lol. He must have known if he was being honest with himself.

I don't think PW is intending to lie, but his over-optimism is almost the same as lying outright. Sad but true. As K128 says, SD has been pushed back so many times. You have to take what he says with a bucket of salt.

Not sure they are just yet, although they might be if they are actually selling 8mmscf/d (as PW said recently - cannot trust that though) with crude prices where they are right now.

Jag11, I doubt SDX are pulling in 4m per month at these oil prices. They'll still be generating solid cashflow though. Even if they'd got SD online I think the same thing would have happened to the share price to be honest. Everything is getting smashed.

They also won't be using the cashflow for a 'war chest'. It's all required for E&D. With oil where it is, I expect they'll be drawing on that Morocco loan facility at some point this year.

Doubler, more complicated than that, people in the know can sell futures, short etc and bring the price down. There is a bit of a glut of oil around at the moment too which won't be helping things. There is also the possibility that the oil price is being manipulated lower to slow down an incoming recession because as you say, lower oil prices are generally good for economies. It is all speculation at the moment, just my musings but we are due a huge global recession and it isn't avoidable. SDX need to get that gas on pronto.

Yes, almost all oil/gas stocks are selling off. It's quite possible this dive in the oil price is an omen of a big worldwide recession. I personally think this is coming and coming soon and will probably cause the oil price to go lower and remain low for a long time. Assuming SDX can keep getting paid and continues to move more toward a gas business then this will be an incredible buy soon.

Conceivably this could drop in to the 20's. It seems impossible but we aren't all that far away now.

I want asking you. You're not quite right, but you are along the right lines. Banks actually obfuscate promissory obligations that people issue when they sign a 'loan' agreement. Let's' stop this here. This board is for discussing sdx. I raised a legitimate point but no one seems interested to engage other than stating that the US dollar isnt going to devalue.

One question, can you tell me what service banks offer that they charge interest for? That will tell me where you are.

Oh knock it off NewKOTB, you would have said the same thing if I had said this would go lower at 50p and look where we are now.

I am starting to think that *SOMEHOW* it will. I have been holding off buying more for quite some time now. This price really is ridiculous though. I wonder if some larger shareholders are dumping because they expect an economic downturn to kick in and the oil price to go to say $20-$40. Even though SDX is getting more heavily weighted towards gas it isn't yet and the market is not at all forward looking when it comes to this share so it could easily get whacked down to the low 30's or even further.

Another thing I've been wondering is, given that SDX have gas contracts in Morocco and presumably will have one in Egypt at a fixed US Dollar price, what happens if the US Dollar starts to become less valuable in some kind of inflationary scenario or something else? If the contracts can't be adjusted, the local costs SDX incur might not be covered by the revenue from the contracts, or at least the profitability might be drastically reduced.
