The upcoming arrival of trump may well bring with it some surprises for some. With the announcement of the last sanctions personally I sold immediately just over 30 p. We know what effect that had on both Cnr and calibre share price. Mtl will be no different no matter on ceos messiah level. Obama started the path of regularising Cuba relations. Trump squashed that , introduced the first sanctions on nica and a raft of agressive actions on Venezuela. The current sanctions are in place but as yet I enforced. Trumps main topics are migrants and China, both of which are relevant to Nicaragua.

Trump has already been bellicose towards Greenland Canada and Panama before even entering the White House.

Nica is a far more grounded area for actions imv. Peeps here continually discounted the reasons that now both Mellon and now mc apparently has given for not raising finance for build and getting decent deal.

It is a possible problem and personally glad to have sold half at good profit and just run with free shares. Of course I may be over cautious but up to this point in the Cnr journey my caution has turned out to be well founded.

Broom. My point is although the ceo is given full credit by posters , he happened to take over when pog was around $1400 and now is near 2700, that has a very significant bearing on the success of Mtl. Had the pog stayed around 1200-14400 the story would have been altogether different

Mtl sp obviously must have been extremely low for a producer previously leaving a lot of runway. However it is a good record so let’s see what gives.

Stoneo. Primary reason to convert warrants this early would be to sell them so could well be that and obviously well in the money. Of course it is not impossible that sp can drop from here just like it could spike to 10 with good news.

You could have sold at 9.5 recently and waited for 6 p. Personally sold at 9 and 9.5 and re bought at 7.5 and mostly 7 p. Open to a few more at 6.5.

There is never any guarantees in either direction but just sitting everything out like a directionless passenger is not the best strategy imv.

The bad section of this investment has passed now and it will depend now on results and the ability to raise the large ammount needed to progress significantly which will need another partner. More upside than downside with bumps on the way likely imv. Having a 20 p average is down to you irrespective of Omi related issues.

Carefree, no doubt d b is doing a good job and sorted out problems but I would think the fact that pog 6 years ago was around $1200 p oz and is now around $2660 must have a significant bearing. Time will tell on the £2 b company.

888, agree we are where we are and either stick or twist. You and others have finally seen what I have been warning about Mellon and valuations for years. The deal is done, make the best of it in whatever way best suits each of us. Personally offloaded half and redeployed . Keep rest til Mtl conversion and see how it goes. Mtl recent performance seems decent but one dodgy far right billionaire is bad enough. Two is a bit too much for my liking. Will be happy to unload and keep the cvrs.

C f, the sanctions have been passed but as yet not applied. Trump was voted in on an anti immigration ticket. Suggest checking out ted Cruz and marco Rubio. Contrary to some unresearched sleepy Biden narrative on here trump is likely to be much more hawkish on nica, Venezuela, Cuba . We saw what happened to the share price of Cnr and calibre when the last sanctions were announced. General geo politicals are continuing to degrade imv.

Bmr, I am curious why you held all the way to the end. For me it has been obvious that most predictions here for years were built on Hope rather than reality. Having said that this deal doesn’t even match my expectations. As far as info goes, mc was a salesman, he couldn’t say we don’t have much interest publicly that would be ridiculous but it was obvious by the dearth of site visits that we were not inundated. You have to read between the lines. 40 p reward(😂) gave you the ballpark. Peeps bigged up Mellon ignoring some of his more unsuccessful forays and a rather dubious moral history. Have to say some of those posters are conspicuous by their abscence now.

Surrey, even 5 years ago the flags were there most here just didn’t want to consider it and were very agressive regarding alternative views. One minute we didn’t need bfs for production then we are doing bfs, the slow progress on the land etc and the large dilution during all those years is part of the reason for low price.

Regarding other offers. Mc stated there was a much larger Chinese offer. We will never find out the truth regarding other deals but as to there being only one deal ??. As stated granny robber can and has steered it where he wants it despite mc taking guided tours this autumn.

At least you will go to production hopefully. Many possible scenarios on that journey. Personally dumped most of my producers for now and first half 2025 not looking so promising imv, strong $ etc

However making predictions like drilling results before a cash raise or resource estimate by Dec web call or indeed 1 m oz in jan in retrospect are plain stupid. You do have a month on the 1 m Tbf then audios and carry on for a month with your 2 other alter egos.

Bob, this is aim. Surprised that peeps are surprised. Mellons 20% loan soon to be paid back by Mtl 10% loan. Tbh I suspect that mc comment re Chinese much higher bid could well be genuine but mellons had taken full control of negotiations and was obviously on board with Mtl at that point. Yes bmr the ndas could be covering a multitude. It is hard to believe that the only company interested was another aim tiddler and if that is the case not a great encouragement for the future. Will never know.

Mtl just as likely to go down in new year and make this deal look even tighter. Trading is the only way to have a decent chance in these shares. Just have to learn from the experience.
