You cannot divorce the politics from cnr even if we have polarised views.cnr was 59 p days before the protests.we have had a pc yet we are still sub 40 p.I am surprised we havn't moved up somewhat.

This I think this is probably how patryk ened up stuck here,by listening to wildly optimistic forcasts.we havnt been granted permits yet.unlikely that it will not happen but the timescale may not be as expected.after all it is not too long ago that mc apparently saw the end of ortegas regime that was no doubt due to what appeared to be a dialogue for transition.However as has been seen ortega had no intention and was buying time to organise heavy repression so things are never quite as they seem.worth bearing in mind that international condemnation of nicaragua is growing due to human rights abuses catalogued by amnesty,un and the oas.nicaragua could only muster 3 votes against 21 i believe in a vote regarding condemning nicaragua for human rights abuses at the oas .the usa is likely to increase sanctions especially if nicaragua continue to try blaming the us for unrest in nicaragua.it may end up being a self fullfilling prophesy.
Still expecting a rise but I think there is some very over optimistic hopes here that arnt taking into account present issues or possible future issues.

Yes I have seen ifc finance mentioned,I did check ifc investments in nicaragua.that would be a big one though unless part funding.a word of caution though that in ifc one of their criteria revolves around human rights so there may be an issue occur considering ortega forces are already documented as having carried out many and have increased this since observers have been in nicaragua.the nica act has a bearing also for ifc.the oas permanent council has just voted 21 states against 3 to condemn nicaraguas state violence.
