Yyes good read.I was reading an article on b2 last night.nicaragua has changed somewhat from when b2 entered nicaragua but they have the same mindset as mr beaty.the contrarian investors.watching a beaty video he was extolling the virtue of buying good assets up cheap in the downturns.of course makes sense for the buyer. Beaties new company is looking for producers rather than explorers .one of the reasons I have transferred into producers.if and when the gold price rises significantly it will for sure change the outlook for most goldies.Beaty is bullish on gold.
Do you think b2 are a possible suitor for cnr ? It is possible especially with prices depressed.

Aguila,you bring up an interesting point with randgold in drc .something that happens in a number of countries and something that could feasibly happen in nicaragua further down the line.especially if nicaragua gets more isolated

Aguila,a far better comparison would be palestine,more casualties in nicaragua since april,protests banned,arbitrary arrests etc.although zimbabwe under leftist (debateable) authoritarian leader,arranging its constitution to allow infinite powers with direct control of the army,police etc would also suffice.

Lets get this straight.cnr fall 30 per cent within a week or so of april 17 and it is unrelated.unbelievable.is that from the telesur financial section.
I still have some shares here,I am more than entitled to post here having continuously been a shareholder since 2010.
Bullying tactics will not make your investment any better.There are obviously a lot of over extended cnr holders.
i could quite easily have missed selling at the begining of the protests.It was a toss up for me.However I wouldnt resort to the deluded desperate posting of some of you.
maybe we should be calling out the posters that for 6 years were posting that cnr would be sold within the year.£3,4 etc etc.

It is unfortunate that it appears there is only room for one type of opinion on this board.you can lecture me when cnr doubles .You havnt explained how aaz,omi,solg etc have recently doubled whilst last time I looked gold was under 1200$.Doesn't quite fit with your synopsis does it ? Cnr should have done the same with granting of permits.
I still hold some shares,and dont rule out re buying at some point.cnr has good management.ifc is the holder to keep an eye on here imo.
B2 have numerous projects and have covered production with boosts elsewhere ,but are not looking for investment for revenue in 4 years time.they are producing.They are still down around 60 c from april.
I don't make claims that no investor would touch cnr,but it is clearly harder.I have no issue with people sitting tight.I have done the same from 2010 till this year.I do have a problem with people who agressively attack people with differing views. Nero I sold cnr at first notice of protests at 51 p,they had dropped from 58 already they dropped down into the thirties in days.obviously completely linked to the protests watson.
Yes golden reign did briefly spike in may but has since dropped back 30 per cent.
However solg ,aaz both nearly doubled ,omi more than doubled in the last month.arcm doubled over the last 5 months.etc.nero,like your reading of the political situation in nica it is scewed imo.

Welcome back to to the cnr conspiracy theory board.yep I have transferred into arcm,hum and aaz .seems fairly obvious to me that miners that are successfully producing gold and going in to dividend payment are a better bet and a much likelier take over target than cnr.some on this board treat cnr like a wife rather than an investment.I still hold a few just in case something happens.actually cnr fell from 58 p in apri dropping around 30-35 per cent over a few days.directly affected by the unrest and has not recovered ground since .golden reign have plumetted and like cnr is nicaragua specific. B2 gold fell nearly a third from april but has recently had a bit of a push but have projects in other regions.aaz doing nicely though.
The situation in Nicaragua is heading towards the part that will be more telling than the protests that recently have been made illegal.Ortega is leading nicaragua on a path that can only lead to isolation.repression is increasing.
Nobody is asking what the nica act may mean for investment and for future relations with the imperialist western agressors.Asking for over a 120 m when ortega is accusing the usa of causing the unrest doesn't sound easy to me.who can tell what will happen in nicaragua in the 4 years minimum before production.
I think mc really needs to turn up with the 10 per center.It could happen.granted permits vs political uncertainties.we all know that the permit granting should have had a positive effect but 10 per cent could be a cheap investment risk/reward scenario maybe.
Comparing aaz and hum sp would suggest to me that if cnr was now producing the sp should be around £1.30-£1.50.that is not allowing for any dilution of course.
Our mcap is between 1/3 -1/4 of theirs.looking at similar production although hum arnt restricted to one project.
Of course the unknown is what the gold price will do in the future.anything can happen there.would still rather be producing though.

Nero,Yes quite possibly .A 10 per cent stake probably would give us a good lift.mc quite capable of delivering.cant see the sp moving a lot til next funding is completed ,which is when I would expect an investor to enter.mc has once in my time here got a funding away at a premium to the sp but it is more likely to be at a discount so at this rate is likely to be cnrs most dilutive raising imo.

I met 2 students from managua and the ambassador at an event a couple of months ago.as bez says medical staff are being arrested and sacked for attending to protestors or for attending protests.The police force is not independant and even often flies the fsln flag.gvnt workers have to be members of fsln and are expected to march.not to say that there is no genuine support but exit polls show low support.There are sandinistas in protests against ortega because many consider he has completely sold out the sandinista principles.

Nero,actually b2gold sp was $3.70 dollars in mid april and now under 3 dollars.roughly 30 per cent.they covered shortfall in nicaragua elsewhere..I think b2 would be wary of over exposing themselves presently yes they havnt been too badly affected production wise but all the while ortega is blaming everything on the usa and the usa squares up its not the ideal scenario.what ortega and trump do next will be pretty important in my view.
yep gold is overdue a run.been watching a couple of Beaty interviews.He is full on for gold.his modus is buy while assets are cheap!.equinox looking for aquisitions in south america or west africa.they are looking for producers but may think about a 10 per cent stake maybe.especially if cnr drops further which is fairly likely imo.peanut money really if cnr hit the twenties.conjecture of course on my part.

Cnr have to plan seriously for production.When I look at hum and aaz as similar peers ,they have gone all the way to production so I dont see a compelling case to suggest that a sale is likely within the next year as recently suggested by wg.not to say it cannot happen but with the added uncertainties with politics I wont hold my breath.
this is looking fairly long term I think.aaz until this week had a m cap double cnr looking at producing 80k oz right now so I cannot see how we could be rated the same as a producer.and that would only be 70p.we are a third of hum sp .
Would be good to see a good rise in gold price.

Saj.as nero kindly pointed out,cryptos have been hammered recently.i am down a fair bit there in eth although buying in small batches has limited losses a fair bit.Things happen a lot quicker in cryptos so not as boring.I think it best to have a ballanced portfolio.like many here I suspect I was over exposed in cnr pre protests.I have bought eth but also see producers as better bet than 4 years down the line,if there is no problems maybe dividend in six years.switched into hum ,arcm,and aaz and some frr.still holding some cnr but much less than previously.
Aaz has a market cap double cnr and hum 4x roughly I think but both 4 years at least ahead of cnr,so I do not see a huge upside in short term.There is also the chance of the geo politics getting worse in nica too.ortega now arresting people for blue and white balloons.the many human rights abuses are not going ignored no matter what the state red media and nero say.cnr dropped 30 per cent directly after the start of the protests and havnt moved much since.
i think if mc turns up a 10 per center it is liable to appear at the next fundraise.I dont see the sp doing much until after the next funding.of course cnr may get taken out but we were up for sale when nicaragua was considered politically stable and no sale appeared.my logic tells me that new producers like hum and aaz have got to production without a bid although both would seem more likely targets now as they are making cash.plenty of time to get back into cnr I think.good luck
