Not an expert on hum pat but a quick apraisal tells me they are producing and aiming for 115 k ozs per year,very similar to cnr hoped output.they have another project with 4.2 m resource and 34 percent of cora.
Their m cap is 95 m after developing a mine and producing on track as well as other investments.I fail to see why people think that cnr is worth more .slipperys wild speculation of 393 a month after permits looking ridiculous and baseless in my opinion.cnr mcap presently 28.89 m.roughly a third of hum.of course on hum they are disapointed with their sp and hoping for a take out.They are producing and still waiting.
On the plus side there is mention on there of ross beaty and his equinox gold.listened to quite a few of his recent interviews.one where he says they are in the market for 100-200 oz projects but producers.He also likes south america so you never know in the future.He is a very interesting guy and a very good person to have aboard however he is looking for value buys while gold is in a down cycle.He is bullish on gold and buying for the next bullrun.At some point gold is likely to have a serious upswing which should benefit.yep more waiting.I was expecting a reasonable rise ,just hoping for short term rise into mid 50s now.As you say though fairly de risked now so tread water until something happens.
The next issue is funding .everyone knows its coming so no real incentive to buy imo so that needs to be out of the way before any chance of real gains imo although we would hope that it would be at higher levels than today.its not down to luck pat ,if we are seen as an attractive proposition we will get bought.It just may not be at some peopls hoped price.aguilas 1.50 -200p seems sensible valuation.a buyer taking a stake could well push the sp significantly as in arcm where I bought 3 months ago.Hopefully we are at the bottom right now.

Just looking through my account ,sept 14 sold at over 90 p.maybe intra day.we have been in a fairly tight trading range for 4-5 years.early days as always was the best time to exit.cnr just like solg flew around 2011 from memory and still havnt re captured those prices.I wasnt wise enough to exit then but have learnt gradually over time.trading makes sense.I mentioned to pat in the eighties and later around 68 p that it is an idea to hedge your investment and trade some.he didnt want to risk not being in when permits landed.sometimes you have to be pro active to protect your investment.
It has been disapointing to see the response to the permits.I expect a trading range of 35-55 p unless we get stake buying as hinted at by mc or a bid.anyone who is likely to buy us will be aware of us already.
Had a read on hum last night .going to production and doing a good job hasnt had a response either.they hoping for a bid.sp less than 5 years ago.

Hi wg, what I mean is 11 p old money pre consolidation.or for relative newbies 220p.others have mentioned that cnr reached these levels previously when talking about valuations.
You are correct ,there are a number of foreign companies operating mines in nicaragua.What do you think may happen when the nica act comes in and possibly gets beefed up.How will ortega react to foreign pressure.since 2008 ortega has played ball with the usa implementing neo liberal policies.now nica and usa are at odds as well as the eu ,un etc do you seriously think this is good news for a sale?not saying it cannot happen but it is likely to be a factor.
One of the students complaints is that ortega is too generous to foreign companies.they do not like the very generous tax concessions or the fact that all the profits can be re patriated.These are things that can change quite quickly if the sabre rattling really gets going.these are possible problems .of course all may well be tickety boo.why then are cnr at 43.5 p after permits in your opinion.please please dont say pr..

Ha ha.Better the evil doers you know .Time will tell .we will never agree on the politics.The permits are out of the way.The sp has hardly moved.what is clear is that ortega is heading more back towards Russia so I fail to see how that will Help a sale.nicaraguan credit rating dropping and more sanctions coming.nicaragua isnt back to normal at all it is just heading in a different more authoritarian and unpredictable direction.doesn't preclude a sale but makes it more risky and likely to be reflected in the price offered.personally I am not greedy and have a low average so will be happy with a lower price to most here.I doubt if we will see our 2011 interday high of around 11 p broken any time soon let alone 393 p. Perhaps we need those big hitters in the fsln to pull their money out of wall street and stick it in cnr lol.

Not really up to speed with hum but it was lauded on here a couple of years ago and has gone backwards sp wise up to and after production and over 5 years so I certainly wouldn't base my investment here on production.not to say that it couldnt be very profitable but too many variables for me.Interested in the next year and will take profits and de risk if the opportunity arises.

Option b for a larger capacity .6 years mentioned very recently.so if you add any feasibility study time further drilling and financing time 6-8 years is my estimate.Not likely imo.A sale has always been the preferred option.How comitted are cnr to go into production?I do not see the 4 years leading up to production being too exciting unless there is stake building.I would never however be surprised to see mc pull something out unexpected.

You are correct I did say that.I was actually expecting a reasonable rise to sell into.so nope not sold.hoping to see 60p which I stated as a reasonable selling price previously.That is quite feasible I think barring something untoward .average around 38 p so I am ok to wait for a while and see how things pan out for a while.arok,my agenda is to not lose money and be realistic.people who are heavily under water may not be the best ones for investment advice.If an approach is forthcoming it is most likely to be north american.I do not think that they will be using somneros nsc anti american pseudo marxist views as a positive for investing in nicaragua somehow. Anti american feeling along with american sanctions are not going to be a selling point .
We all have our own strategies,mine is to understand as best I can the situation I am investing in.
Cnr as always is a well run company with a great ceo.no complaints at all there.Some serious investors.The one I will be keeping my eye on is the ifc.an aproach may come .aguila gave a reasoned valuation for cnr,however production is a long way off, possibly 8 years away if the 6 year option is taken.2022 at best.you can wait years for production taking the much hyped hum as an example and the price drops.always take a profit when it arrises on aim I think.learnt the hard way.I will hold some long term as we have very credible management ,investors and resource.

So irrespective of our reading of events in nica ,if we accept the idea that the cia are responsible for encouraging (without arming) many tens of thousands of protestors and russia has been selling large ammounts of arms,the us is ramping up sanctions,the world bank meets in the usa,usa states it will aim to stop loans to nicaragua,perhaps these factors may be after all cnr related.moreover where are things likely to end .ortega in his first spell in charge grabbed assets wholesale.presently the fsln is orchestrating landgrabs using squaters to punish businesses that supported the protests.if the situation gets more polarised and the usa becomes the big bad wolf how do we think western companies will fare in nicaragua.
The recent interview som I assume is the one where the paramilitaries are finally called reserve police having previously either not existed or been criminal gangs .
this is a poor performance considering the permits have been confirmed ,have to hope it will gradually move north.finance will not be so easy to come by until it becomes clear where nicaragua is headed.ifc may change their investment stance.anybody who thinks that because there is virtual martial law and barricades are lifted that this situation is back to normal is making a mistake in my opinion.the nicaraguan human rights organisation has closed due to death threats.doctors and medics sacked for doing their job but still there are protests.
2022 for production is quite a long way and there is als the possibility of six years for the alternative plan so I guess only a bid is going to put a rocket under this.cnr will need short term funding at some point in the not too distant future irrespective of mine finance.a bid has to be the preffered option imo.

You could just as easily use hum as a reference point for production.jibbo predicting great things there .currently under 30 p.Been hoping for a bigger jump on news but early days perhaps.Directors should be free to buy now one assumes so a nice big directors buy would help drive sp.I think aguila gave a very reasoned post regarding valuation.
Will be interesting to see what interest picks up.Still think that politicals are going to keep the brakes on somewhat but any smell of takeover should propel this to £1 which is a good sell point from 40p.free carry for me asap .

Anyone expecting permits should be loading up beforehand.would like to see the sp move up in expectation before confirmation.no big holders loading up yet.that would be a good signal .

Anyone who believes that the usa is set on regime change should be very careful about investing in nicaragua I would have thought.It seems logical to me that if this is the case nicaragua will get more isolated and pushed towards traditional allies.If this turns out to be the case it is possible that ortega the revolutionary may perform another volte face and forego his neo liberal agenda . All those arms present at cnr pc could just as easy stop a mine from functioning.personally I think that usa has been fairly comfortable with ortega generally and there is no guarantee that a change of regime will necesarily be of benefit.
