The risk of lending to people doesn't worry me as they will have cleverer people than me working out that strategy and there is no way they will risk being labeled irresponsible again
I just can't see them committing capital to lending until claims have a finite conclusion regarding costs.
The only way I could see it is, if there is a way to ring fence Amigo2. Maybe Amigo PLC could set up Amigo 2 Ltd and start a fresh. But the money in current Amigo can't leave without FCA approval so they would need a new line of credit
Like LTL says this is a mind field of what if's and strategy could change overnight but I think one way or another the team will do it

I'm sure if we can get back to lending there will 100's of thousands that could benefit from a little financial help to get them back on track
It's a proven business model, just needs to make sure it's lending within FCA agreed rules next time :)

It does sort of say that on their website (I think)
I've read somewhere- "The SOA will allow us to treat all customers fairly and equally and allow us to restart lending to help those that need it"
I'm sure these weren't the exact words but something like this

I think the best news we can hope for short term is FCA approval of SOA
They may announce lending but doubt it until results of SOA are known unless plan B involves trading again

Amigo is fundamentally a good business which can help people and make good profits. It's ****ed up somewhere along the way and finds itself in this position
If the team can draw a line with claims we should be all very happy with our positions here and fairly quickly see great returns. If not we are in for a rocky ride
