I can't see lending again until
a) there are clear rules moving forward set out by FCA, I assume after accessing woodard report
b) there is more certainty around claims redress, maybe even after results of the vote and even after judgement, i'd assume this could be done by March

Don't get me wrong I do think some are jumping on the bandwagon and why wouldn't they ? Amigo have obviously ****ed up along the way somewhere opening the door to chancers. But there aren't many that wouldn't want 000's in comp if it was offered. No matter whether they deserve it or not
I'm hoping the offer on the table is ok or at least flexible

The more customers you get now the better , I assume you'd rather advise a slice of something is better than a piece of nothing :) If SOA approve 30/40% of the pot is a nice pay day

I've reduced posting on here over the last few months (apart from today) not much to say really. We all know what's needed. I'm still holding as think we'll see some great returns but awake to potential issues

I worked with them in the noughties and they were loosing money then
Restructuring debt on a failing business because it's not making a profit and restructuring/limiting claims pay outs on a profitable business can't really be compared in my opinion

That's what I referred to earlier by getting an insolvency firm involved to restructure as I thought that would the type of firm you'd use
The beauty is, Amigo doesn't need to turn anything around a part from customer claims restructure.
The bones of the business are there and I'm sure GJ will only improve this. We just need to draw a line in the sand.

I'm going off memory so forgive is not exact
I hear you about FCA Vreg and that was MJ that arranged that and I think this was the plan at the time to prove to FCA they could be trusted. Voluntary being the key word and not as you say FCA asked for (as far as we know)
As far as claimants getting a good return if Admin ? I think there's are 200m or so plus loan sale, I'm pretty sure first line creditors would swallow that before customers got a look it

We also have to remember that even if the customer vote was negative the judge can overrule
So if the judge believes passing it was in the best interest of the customers and Amigo could bring a useful service to others they can still pass with a minority customer vote

Obviously I don't know for sure but maybe
a) SOA is passed
b) If SOA refused by judge they could engage an insolvency firm to negotiate an offer (i think this is doable)
I'd assume that customers would rather get something than nothing as if they close the doors loan book will be worthless and after debt is paid there will be nothing left for customers
c) This is something I haven't looked at but maybe someone has. Is Amigo Plc liable for Amigo Ltd's debt ?
