Why is Amigo responsibility if they can't stop gambling ?

Again addiction is a cruel mistress but not Amigo's fault

How many houses have been repo'd due to gambolling or drinking ? I'd guess 1000's and nobody blames the mortgage company for putting families on the street due to one persons actions

Why is Amigo made out to be the villain and not the gambling companies ? You should have more respect for your guarantor than to put gambling before them or did you lie to them as well ? "I see no way out .................. " Gamblers anonymous mate
Don't get me wrong addiction is **** but again WHY is Amigo the villain ? I'm hoping the FCA/FOS and courts will take these posts into account

Horrible company
I have been a member with Amigo for a number of years, however recently I have been in alot of financial difficulty, due to multiple creditors and a gambling problem.

My current balance is around 4800 and this mainly consists of extortionate interest. I appreciate I took out the loans on the understanding of repayment 207.00 a month. However I have since tried to reach out to amigo, however they simply threaten going to my guarantor and do not offer any resolution. I am happy to continue payments on 25/01/2021 at 207.00, although I did ask for a decreased repayment arrangement, aslong as this did not increased the interest. I am happy to pay over a longer term to have the monthly repayment decreased.

I have dealt with agents via email, Lauren and Kai to name a few. No one at Amigo has actually tried to help me. They are a horrible business who continually email and text threatening messages. I have raised a complaint on several occasions, without response. The messages do not stop.

I am at my whits in with Amigo and see no way out.

Hey Trade , I don't disagree with what you say regarding some CMC's acting like vultures but why wouldn't they ?
I genuinely believe they are our new friends, the more clients they have the better, they know the alternative to SOA isn't higher pay outs and will advise all clients to accept SOA which doesn't actually cost Amigo any more cash.

The more customers the CMC's get the better for us as they will advise they vote yes
Image you had 10k customers that would all get £500 without a fight =£2,000,000 for the CMC for doing basically sweet FA

The plan remains to restart lending early in 2021, which can proceed alongside the SOA process. What is annoying is we'll never actually really know who F-up and to what extent. I remember gary saying in his video he was going to spend two days with claims and get to the bottom of this. He was almost coming across like all these claims are rubbish, but when we next heard it was all about CMC's and not the actual validity of the claims

I agree but think Amigo did (most likely) cut corners especially with top ups
Remember the old BOD were just money grabbing a holes and most likely paid nice bonuses to stay if they hit their numbers and it would mean got more

But it's totally unfair to lump Amigo into the same class as payday lenders
If I'm not mistaken a lot of payday lenders were Ex CMC's that had made a fortune from PPI claims and were already set up to take high volume calls and looking for the next win.
1 0r 2 thousand percent compared to 49% ? and less checks.
My honest opinion is Amigo have made some mistakes re checking affordability but this has now spiraled out of control due to current climate and CMC's. But they aren't rip off merchants praying on the vulnerable like PD lenders were. So it's time to draw a line and allow them to do what they do well and that's help people get back on track

From what I can gather
They've said they will be writing to customers this month, I'm unsure when they expect actual vote to be completed
