As @ST has stated, a lot will depend upon the diameter they choose to drill. If it's a larger 6.75" drill, this will be slower, but will allow then to case better on the way down. I'd much rather this take 2 more weeks, even for a short drill, and increase the CoS, than rush.
So yes, predicting timescales is not sensible IMO.

I understand as I was sitting on huge losses up to Tue. I added a lot more on the drop though, as I felt it was an overreaction. I had to sell others which I was in the red on to free up the funds, but felt it was a rational plan. My only concern was the risk of the whole drilling campaign being delayed, but I felt that was an outside risk. I bought between 11.6 and 13.4 last week.

I've now started to sell some of those to give me some available funds. If there's a pull-back I'll buy back in. If it keep going up, I'll slice some more before the inevitable pull-back over the next few weeks. So my plan is to trade some and hopefully use that to reduce my average and then I can decide what level of holding I am comfortable with before the next RNS in 3-6 weeks (guess).

I'm pleased you held your nerve and will get the opportunity to formulate a de-risk plan. I am more optimistic of success on this drill than the first drill actually, but that's just my opinion.

I am surprised that you've not taken the chance to sell some or all of your holdings as you continually post negatively now. I know the washout was not expected, but these things do happen. You used to be quite bullish, so maybe HE1 has lost its allure to you. It happens - I've sold share at a slight loss if I feel I no longer believe.

Not good for your health BP - maybe used the funds on shares you feel more engaged with :)

My sentiments exactly. I've been taken to task a bit by @ST (haha) for being too exposed on this. I added a chunk after last Wed which I am gradually selling/trading so that I reduce my average and will also reduce my total holdings before any RNS hopefully.
Although my risk tolerance is quite high, ST is right and a little more prudence may be wise.

We're all in this to make money and we'll all have different views and methods. Everything is fair - apart from the t0ssers who chose to ramp/de-ramp shares.
Wyn likes to use TA along with his FA and that's fine.
You prefer to buy and hold, unless something changes your perception. Also perfectly valid.

Me : I stick the names of shares into a hat and pull one out. It'll work eventually I'm sure ;)

I bought a lot more last week after the RNS (between 11.6 and 13.4). I'm looking to sell these on these prices rises. If there's drops from these levels, I'll buy back. If not, It's not important as I will have lowered the average on my remaining holding.

We're all 'traders' - just different timescales.

Getting close - 18p paid.

Need it to get above and hold.

Decent, calm, reassuring interview.

I feel this will give some support to the SP now too. Setting realistic expectations which may stop the froth.

I don't think the initial discovery will be that large. The aren't drilling to the Karoo initially as they are only going about 800m I believe. Therefore, the de-risked value of this won't be the full 31p I doubt, as the reservoir size will be smaller (if a discovery is proven).

However, what any discovery will do is de-risk the entire basin (by this, they mean it proves there is HE and it is getting captured in reservoirs within the underlying strata). It will also improve the COS (chance of success) at subsequent holes, but it doesn't de-risk them, as each drill has the potential be be a duster.

£4-£5 is a reasonable target but not this year - maybe late next year as extra areas are drilled.

However, I would not be surprised to see HE1 acquired in the event of a discovery. This will then be a proven, world class, highly in demand resource and will be very desirable to a number of multi-nationals IMO.

Seems to be drifting lower a bit at the moment too, so looks like good timing for your top-ups. Might not be the (new) bottom, but it doesn't feel like it will drop below 14, or if so, not by much.

Very optimistic about ADV. 95% CoS on their upcoming drill in Buffalo.
2 more potential agreements to be announced soon (hopefully).
De-risked value is 12.6p/share.
There’s a youtube presentation about 2 months ago I believe which explains the strategy which is well worth 30 minutes of your time.
IMO, this is a very good price now - I’ll be looking to take some of my bounce back money from HE1 and buy more here soon I hope.
I’m sure there are others on here who can add anything I’ve missed.

I’ll be watching you. Think I’ll need to trade soon to reduce average (but increase number of shares when buying back). Well, that’s my cunning plan ;)

Also DBD, ZPHR has dropped a lot so maybe a cheeky punt there. They had a decent RNS but as per usual, sell on news happended.
