At least you're prepared to express your thoughts/concerns wyn. A dissenting voice is never a bad thing and luckily you can do that without the nastiness which pervades some other boards. Others may disagree, but I don't think I've seen any nasty posts on here.

I think so too. It was funds left over from the IPO as it was oversubscribed to I got scaled back.

I can see this picking up again - especially if we get some more news flow shortly.

Wouldn't it be highly amusing if, after all of the speculation about the delay, the rig suddenly starting moving tomorrow :).

That's not ludicrous speculation but luckily appears (based on SI's post) that is not the case. However, it does look like we'll be starting the fun part WITHIN 2 weeks.

I agree that CEOs will downplay and exaggerate. They are, to some degree, selling the vision of their company.

However, you have mentioned a few times that you have this ‘theory’ as to the delay and it’s not down to ADV. You also say that you have a good track record (or words to that effect), so I think you should “put up or shut up” (that’s tongue in cheek btw lol).

However, IMO, we are all prone to confirmation bias and assume that our decisions are good, and will ignore/downplay our mistakes. I think you should tell us this theory of yours. Have courage in your convictions :)

I'm still expecting steady news flow to happen here and gradual rise. This seems a very good buying price - would be surprised if it drifted anymore.

I don't understand your beef Wyn.
We do know the cause - we know that Jadestone are having overrun issues (we also know that rigs are more often than not delayed on a job - it goes with the territory for O&G).
We don't know the issues which Jadestone are having, but do you think that Jadestone owe ADV investors an explanation as to their drilling issues?
There is nothing to worry about (unless, of course, we are being lied to, but that is a very different accusation to make).

And therein lies the problem with charting. It’s purely down to what data you look at as to what you will see. Different people will draw different lines and interpret things differently.

Added a big chunk today too (700k), but they aren’t showing. No idea why - but was done via Arden.

There’s some big holdings by the posters on here. I don’t imagine we’ll be making them available anytime soon, which will only support the SP and help drive it higher when the rig arrives.

Dec will be a good month IMO.

I think with so many shares in sticky hands, selling now and expecting to drop enough to make it worthwhile, bearing in mind the spread anyway, is a risky decision.

I’m irritated by the delay with Jadestone, but that’s nothing to do with ADV. Happy to hold and see the returns during Dec and Jan.

I feel there is a difference wanting to know when the rig moves/spud happens and being concerned about ‘delays’.

I am interested to know when the rig moves etc, but I don’t feel the need to get sh*tty with ADV for the fact that it’s not happened yet. I accept that in O&G there are delays and in the big picture, 4-6 weeks (from the original date of end Oct/early Nov to now is not material to me.

I get that other people may have different views - maybe needing funds for something else - but that’s not a reason to take issue with the BOD IMO.

LP gave us a rough date (end of Nov) on the last presentation - so if the rig moved soon and we spud say next week, is that really an issue?

Anyway, we can’t influence it - all we can do is wait and enjoy the expected reward of out investment :).

SP is just consolidating after the IPO rise IMO.
1st plant coming on-line Jan/Feb 2022 and the 2nd soon after.
I expect more good news to flow in regards to potential Tier 1 tie-ups and other recycling deals too.
Still hopeful of 5p+ at year-end.

I’m relaxed. We’d all prefer the rig was moving, but a few days/weeks is not material to my expectations. The dynamics of the project aren’t altered, and if we end up with results in first 2 weeks of Jan then it is what it is.
Someone I know with experience in the O&G industry told me that delays are part of the industry due to dealing with so many unknowns (on the drilling side). All we are experiencing is delays caused by Jadestone. End of.

In terms of oil price - you’re spot on to not worry about the short-term covid effects.
IMO (based on what I’ve read), the general consensus is that the oil price will stay strong through 2022 as the ‘Green Loons’ have been very successful in the stigmatising of the O&G industry and, therefore, reducing the investment into new exploration/resources. Why invest in something which might not give you a return as the demand eventually gets killed?

Also, things like the ban on new leases for fracking in the US on Federal land is impacting this too.

How much of an impact this will have is really hard to determine and different analysts seem to point to $100+ and as high as $200. How realistic that is, is anyones call, but $200 seems optimistic to me. I could see sustained high values as there’s no incentive for the OPEC+ members to help the West out. Another thing to consider is that in relative terms, the oil price is relatively cheap as it’s not gone up as much as other natural resources over the recent past.

In regards to your concern about the drill timing, it’s nothing that anyone can say 100%.
Let’s say you plan to drive from Bournemouth to Glasgow. You work out the distance and assume an average speed on the motorways of say 60mph. So you estimate a certain amount of time for your journey, and as you can’t leave before a certain you give an expected arrival time.
You start your journey and get to the M25 and it’s been blocked by ‘Extinction Rebellion’ losers (boo, hiss). This costs you 3 hours delay so you arrive 3 hours late. Is that your fault?

Same thing applies here - there’s an expected date for delivery of the rig. It’s out of their control.
It’s vastly different to making hollow promises and not delivering.

I've only been invested in ADV since early this year when the new board took over. I bought in about 2.5p and now have an average approaching 3p.
May I ask how you have an average approaching £5.00? I guess there may be a lot of history which I am unaware of, but in reality, this is a new company with a new board. IMO, any investment made in ADV needs to be made on that basis.

I would highly recommend watching the recent ADV presentations/interviews which are all on YouTube where they outline their plans and growth strategy for the company.

The upside to ADV is good but will take time (going through 2022) to realise. There will be a spike on the results at the end of the year, and then any new agreements will hopefully help drive it forward.

We're down on the week, even though we're likely to be drilling Monday. Yes, the market is down overall, but even accepting that, at best we would have been level on the week.

Good luck to the long-term holders and serious posters. Telegram is much better as the idiots get kicked out.
