Are you aware of how IPO’s work?
Some seed investors, because they are taking a higher risk, get a discount on the SP when their ‘investment’ is converted to shares. Their investment may be tied up with the company for many months and they can’t trade it/get it back.
It’s not uncommon for newly floated companies to get a SP spike, then the price settles are the market determines what is fair value. During this time some of the pre-IPO investors may look to offload some of their holding which creates the selling pressure.

News flow will drive this forward, and it you’re looking beyond a few weeks timeline, it’s all good IMO. My target is 10p end 2022.

But there is no need to panic yet. We are 1 week into the 2 weeks - as stated by LP in the B10 update RNS:

“ We are pleased to note that the drilling preparations are all going smoothly and that the Operator has confirmed the rig handover will occur in a couple of weeks. The drilling of the Buffalo-10 well is a major event for Advance Energy and we look forward to providing further updates at the appropriate operational milestones”.

Now, if this gets to next week and we still don’t have the rig then I’d get the anxiety. We all want the rig to move - but people moan about lack of comms, and then moan when the company it still sticking to the latest comms.

Very interesting the lack of engagement in understanding the issues from the companies and depts (CDC etc). Also, the fact that doctors seem scared to diagnose the vaccine injuries is abhorrent.

Watched something else this eve which is concerning from the new variant perspective. I’ve watched a few clips from this channel in the past and he’s not pro/anti, but has expressed concerns about the risks from the vaccines.

What he is saying is different to what John (the doc from your link) said yesterday in terms of initial prognosis of the new variant (more concerned about mutations) - John was quite encouraged by SA figures, although caveated by ‘early days’.

Just added another 225k @ 4.03p. Was hoping to get sub 4 but still a good price.

I’ve watched that comment and will watch whole video tomorrow. I watch other updates by the same Doctor - he does daily updates.

How long do you think it takes to make a trade?
I can sell on HL and the funds are there immediately to then use for new trades.
I don’t know what platform you’re on - I used to be with Aegon and they took 3 days to clear trades before the funds were available to then trade again, so I moved SIPP/ISA/GIA

I’ve just looked at your posting history on here. You’ve posted about 7 times and every one of your posts is moaning.
I looked back through 3 pages of your posts to about June time and that’s all you’ve posted on here, so not a longtime poster as all your posts here are recent.
Maybe try contributing something constructive before criticising the other posters who have engaged here for several months. Or maybe don’t bother at all if you just want to moan.

Looking at the threads/posts on here the majority are on ADV with the occasional off topic thread. It’s not like the board is swamped by cr&p.

Yes, we had the Covid thread - being honest, the thread is so frigging clear what it’s about, so if you didn’t want to read, don’t OPEN it.

I don’t think it’s downbeat at all.

There’s a few of us who have said that IF the SP falls because traders chose to trade out (based on the fact that some may have bought in Fri on expectation of the rig news which MAY still be a few days away), that we will buy some more cheap shares. But, apart from that everyone I think is upbeat.
Some think the comms could have been better - other (like me) are happy with the comms. Again, this is personal perception about the comms - no one is right or wrong, just opinions.

Whatever happens, I’ll be very surprised if we don’t have a good week in terms of SP. News appears imminent.

I agree with you - I’m not really expecting a fall. However, like Bladey, if traders want to trade and the SP drifts sub 4p, I’ll free some funds and top up.
I’m comfortable with my current holding - more than I really expected to accumulate, so if I don’t add and the SP rises, I’m happy. If it drops and I can get some cheaper shares, I’ll be happy too. Doesn’t alter the eventual rise when the spud happens.

Seriously, I hope you’re looking after yourself - try no to let things stress you but. As we all know, that’s easy to say and not so easy to apply.

Only come on here occasionally whilst we wait for the action to recommence next year.

It’s a shame that even with the depressed SP there is the usual kn0bhead trying to run DM/HE1 down. He’d do us all a favour if he sold up and invested elsewhere.

Very succinctly put.
From what I’ve learned, O&G works on ‘loose’ timescales as there is so much unknown that occurs in drilling.
For example, if the rig needs to side-track due to problems with the original hole then this extends the drill time. Until they actually drill, they don’t know what they will encounter and timelines can only be estimated.
I find this on-going questioning of ADV in terms of the timeline and what constitutes good communication very odd. IMO, they’ve communicated well and I’m chilled about this.
Someone I know with good O&G experience told me that delays are common and several months are not unusual.

Here’s to a price-drop tomorrow - Xmas sale time for me :).

He was questioning your post saying it’s certainly gone downhill.
Whether or not it has is subjective. I know we had the ‘other’ thread, but, being honest, the thread title was 100% clear. If you didn’t want to read/comment, you didn’t have to open it.
I’m sure that with the lull in activity, the content will drift slightly. There’s only so many times that you can talk about the opportunity for ADV and B10 - most long-term posters/investors know all about it and are just waiting for spud time,

I think that is based on some people buying in Fri expecting the rig news over the weekend. If that doesn’t happen, they may sell-up and buy back in. Personally, I’d like one more sub 4p nibble please haha.

If anyone sells out on Monday and it drops sub 4p again, I’ll be selling some other shares and topping up here. It’s going to move in a few days that’s for sure - be that 2, 5, 7 or 10. It’s not like we’re talking a month.

Yes, I find this linking of the delay to ADV/CVN quite annoying.
It’s Jadestone overrun - and as you say, it’s a reasonably regular happening within O&G drilling from my understanding.

I know I started the thread and it’s been an interesting discussion (I accept not everyone wants to discuss), but Amin/Jezzac are right. May I ask that we let this drop now and focus on ADV.

All I would say is that I’m surprised it’s been so restrained - there’s been no abuse which is good to see. Also, some of the posts have led me to discover new information which I appreciate too.

Anyway, here’s to next week as it we all want to make some money eh! :-).
