5th goal of the season for Neil tonight. His support play/work rate is great. He would do even better with a big striker with him. He’s also a confidence player and has been off-form recently.
I think you’ll find that most BHA fans are pleased with Maupay - even happier with how we’ve progressed and the style of football we play. Dominated another team tonight and still manager a draw, with 10 men after 3 enforced subs with injuries.
Talking about football on the ‘conspiracy’ thread, don’t you think it’s amazing that the number of athletes having heart issues is now 5 times higher than average. That’s not a slight increase. But, it couldn’t be the vaccine - of course not :-).
@Jezza
You’re a very naughty boy for that comment :-D.
@thechinaman
Excellent post - I think we can all take that as very reassuring that things will happen once the rig moves.
Thanks Amin. Let's hope things are imminent.
Wyn, I was with you until you brought your charts into it.
Somethings we just can't believe in mate :-D.
Fair enough KnC.
I used to believe, but I gradually became more sceptical as each "We have n years to save the planet" deadline came and went.
"Climategate" also lifted the lid off the data manipulation which has been done and many scientists are scared to talk out - fear of losing jobs/funding. Science is never settled - it should be an open and honest debate without fear of retribution.
If you're not interested, just don't bother eh guys. The title is quite clear.
As it's a lull now whilst waiting for the rig to move, I was thinking about something which someone posted on the other thread.
There was a throw away comment about "Conspiracy Theory" (in regards to covid vaccines/government stats etc.).
So, I was wondering why would someone use that term on an O&G BB as you are investing in fossil fuels.
To be investing you would either be a hypocrite or you don't believe the fear mongering from the environmentalists/governments/scientists.
If you don't believe in CC, then why would questioning the figures/response on Covid be so surprising?
If they can lie about the risks/scale of that, then what else?
For the record:
I do believe that the climate has warmed slightly at the end of the last century.
I do believe that CO2 is a greenhouse gas (very minor though and at saturation point).
I do believe the man is responsible for some/most of the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere.
I don't believe that this extra CO2 is bad for the planet nor do I believe that the world is going to burn etc.
Not looking for a bust-up with people on this, just a genuine interest and some (hopefully) friendly debate on a good board.
Well, I have no comorbidities and I carry no excess weight. I believe I caught it when I was on holiday beginning of last year in Asia, just before the lockdowns started worldwide. Very bad chest for a couple of weeks and took some time to feel fully recovered.
As I said, I don’t dispute it exists (origin is a separate topic), but does that mean I want to inject an experimental vaccine (which doesn’t stop you catching nor transmitting the disease)? Nope.
Look at all the lies we’ve been told. “We just need to get to herd immunity with natural infection/vaccines and it’ll be over.“ etc.
Genuine question - at what point do you start to question what you’re being told?
Looks that way Mr B. I can see a decent rise coming here soon. 3.6p is very unlikely to be seen again. More likely 4.6p :)
@Bladey
I know I said I wouldn't post again, but, stuff it.
Sorry to hear about that. I've heard lots of stories like that and this is my concern. No-one is saying there's not a virus (there are of course valid questions about the source and funding of the Wuhan lab by Fauci and his dept). The great problem is people believe the government stats, and won't consider that there could be (is) manipulation going on.
Like you, I won't get vaccinated no matter what they say to me and I feel that gradually more people are questioning the narrative.
@Gower
Are you aware that people are classed as unvaccinated (in terms of stats) after the first jamb and up to 2 weeks after the 2nd jab. So any deaths/illnesses are classified as being in the unvaccinated, even as a result of reactions to the vaccines.
I’ll say no more on this - this is a board for ADV and I don’t want it to generate into a bun-fight. I respect your right to hold your opinion. I just have major concerns as to the reasons behind lockdowns/vaccines/vaccine passports etc.
Crowdfunded film about Covid and gives a different take from the MSM. Very worth the watch if anyone is interseted.
Apologies to those who object.

Yep - I don't trust them, the MSM not the drug companies.
Very scary the amount of freedoms which have been taken away by governments with no accountability. And even considering forcing people to be vaccinated as is being discussed in Europe should be enough to make more people concerned.
@Amin
I'd agree with you. If there were going to be a negative reaction to the rig being 'within the next 2 weeks', I would have thought we'd have seen that by now. Doesn't appear to be the case, so any short-term traders looking to get enough of a drop to make it worthwhile are likely to be disappointed. No guarantees of course, but price looks like it has support at this level.
Wow MT. You've been busy today. Nice buying :)
I kept saying "My final buy" - until my next one.
At least you're prepared to express your thoughts/concerns wyn. A dissenting voice is never a bad thing and luckily you can do that without the nastiness which pervades some other boards. Others may disagree, but I don't think I've seen any nasty posts on here.
@ShareI
I think so too. It was funds left over from the IPO as it was oversubscribed to I got scaled back.
I can see this picking up again - especially if we get some more news flow shortly.
Wouldn't it be highly amusing if, after all of the speculation about the delay, the rig suddenly starting moving tomorrow :).
Thanks wyn.
That's not ludicrous speculation but luckily appears (based on SI's post) that is not the case. However, it does look like we'll be starting the fun part WITHIN 2 weeks.
Bring it on eh :-).
Wyn
I agree that CEOs will downplay and exaggerate. They are, to some degree, selling the vision of their company.
However, you have mentioned a few times that you have this ‘theory’ as to the delay and it’s not down to ADV. You also say that you have a good track record (or words to that effect), so I think you should “put up or shut up” (that’s tongue in cheek btw lol).
However, IMO, we are all prone to confirmation bias and assume that our decisions are good, and will ignore/downplay our mistakes. I think you should tell us this theory of yours. Have courage in your convictions :)
I'm still expecting steady news flow to happen here and gradual rise. This seems a very good buying price - would be surprised if it drifted anymore.
