I think you are probably right and I will probably be one of the sellers. I haven't forgiven them for selling shares well below the market price.

Both legal and general and aviva going against the market today AND gone through the 300p.
Any ideas why? I can't find nothing no new information on either.

That would result in a smaller dividend so I would think unlikely. Hopefully not. To me that is.

Keep an eye on what the market is doing at the time. If going up you could loose. If going down you can gain....that's the theory! I have kept an eye on Legal and general share price post ex final dividend and generally you would benefit on share price a few days later.

I think AV buying legal and general to be rather far fetched.
I don't even think the monopolies would allowed it.
FCA would be against.
Probably the PRA to boot.

Hi phil24681 my purchase during the crash was 166p.
Up 84% and 11% dividend (about that)
But did have an average considerably higher in my sipp 284p (Purcase around 2019)
Excuse me for my smugness.
I think it may be a 100% next year or even this year!
I am selling the ones in my sipp as I have far to much overall. Also have had to change my strategy to mainly growth.

Every single share is now wrong on hl.
Not so elsewhere.
Clearly just problem at hl

Mine is HL as well. Its showing an investment trust I own has fallen 20% points....After the market closed.
I wonder if this is only a problem on hl

Doesn't follow depends on what the market is doing. Had two ex dividend today both went up not down....Nice.

A very good investment.
Significantly in profit on one purchase and only down 4% on the other.
I am only hoping for 8p dividend this year, which should be achievable. 10% plus and 13% plus......Nice.....very nice.
