Not sure I agree with you. Short sellers don't short sell with out a reason. They often have spotted fraud. Wire in Germany for instance. They stuck at it despite the German government supporting obvious fraud. The same in the UK with the middle East hospital company. It's not like they short lots of companies. So I disagree particularly with this statement

I don't think Hargreaves Lansdown charge for moving investments. The other broker might.

In a Hargreaves Lansdown isa for funds the charge is 0.45% a year upto £200,000. For shares (and some other investments) it is 0.45% BUT with maximum of £45. So once you invest £10,000 you have no more fees. And everything is tax free.
I may move in the future but the area I will be moving to is much more expensive. Need some growth shares. So looking at investment trusts from now on but will keep the legal and general that I bought during the crash. 10.5% dividend is to good to pass up!

I am on an average of 267 in my Sipp (purchased 2018 with dividends reinvested). The 324 was sometime between November 2019 to November 2020. So could only sell the sipp one's at 324. Will sell them this tax year to take out pay no tax and put the money into an isa. Won't buy back as they make up 13% of a 20 share portfolio. To much want to move more money into UK smaller companies for growth now.

I also like its small portfolio (a best ideas) Blackrock sustainable income has 100 companies/bonds hasn't increased its dividend for 2 years and hasn't covered it for 4 years (possibly more). NAIT has 40. In my opinion Blackrock is the only direct comparable Investment Trust in the sector.

The average Dividend rise was 9% with excellent cover. This year's was only 5%! but again plenty of cover. How many income investment trusts can say that? All the other ones I own increased there's by a speck and used there dividend reserve.

Bought some in December up 17% and 4.1% dividend. Want to sell out of Murray income (bought in March via perpetual income and growth). Set limit order to sell kept falling and nait kept rising. Gave up in the end and took money out of savings and bought half. Hopefully Murray income will rise and I can sell and pay back the money into my savings account. Come on NAIT start falling for the moment!

340 would be very nice for my 166p purchase in march 2020. Need to move it into an isa. Sell and buy back preferably at a lower price.....hopefully!
As its previous high was 320p there's a fair chance of 340 in the not to distant future.

I just looked at the spread 0.07% I wonder if this is part of the reason ie people etc trading in and out? The tax and the stock brokers fees would exclude me from doing so. The stock brokers fees would be % wise very small for the bigger players.

Bought some zeros in March 2020. Anyone any idea when the zeros get paid out? The zeros are still trading. I can't find the Ordinarys on Hargreaves Lansdown, are they still trading?

I may sell even though I prefer to keep. I don't trust them not to kick us in the goolies with another 20% discounted share sale. A Rights issue I will partake and stay.

I haven't thought that Legal and general share price movements has been logical since i Bought my first lot in April 2018. But I would be surprised (but not very surprised) if it dropped below 260p with out a significant fall in the market.

PS no I missed the program but have read his views on mse. Why bother changing insurance companies to save pennys? Might as well stick with the big company you have been with for years!

In my opinion the the change in regulation will benefit the larger companies with their economies of scale. Which will include the introduction of artificial intelligence which should make for more accurately priced policies. I doubt that companies such as direct line ever wanted to sell insurance on a loss leader basis.

Do you think DLG dividend is sustainable?
Based on 2020 the dividend (including the special) is 12.9%. Previous years regularly included a special.
I am after some growth now. I have some good dividend stock to buy UK smaller companies etc. But DLG looks so cheap AND I get the impression that they are not the type to sit on there arse. Reduce costs and increase accuracy with AI. With the change in insurance rules I would assume direct line would be the beneficiaries?
