I suspect there's a lot of share price gain to be had. At the end of the day gas prices have risen significantly.

Can't see how direct line would benefit from interest rates increase? On the other hand the dividend looks sustainable if they don't pay out the specials.
I am tempted because I think they will benefit from FCA new rules on penalising loyal customers. They have the economies of scale and multiple brands that "should " see them win out. The new CEO is a fan of AI the aim being more accurate premiums. All in all possibly a growth stock medium term.

Get on with the house building. Specifically the ones they are going to rent at affordable rent. Great for the annuity/pension pool.

I am in no rush to sell out but I will do when the price bounces back. The fundamentals haven't changed. Gas is still necessary for the next 10 years Minimum. I will be buying Direct line. The basic dividend is good and no 15% withholding tax. Its regular special dividend makes it a better income payer. Stuff all this share price
bouncing all over the place.

I sold out at the top of the last crash as I needed the money to move house.
I predicted the the latest crash 2-3 years ago so I had minimal money in the market. It was obvious to me that the faang etc were grossly overpriced and would bring down the market. In both cases I was using the P.U.L. method of investing. So if you are saying that legal and general will fall back a significant amount then you too are follower of the P.U.L. method of investing. Its nice to have a fellow convert.
