Not a rum drinker as such , but just ordered a bottle of Captain Morgans spiced rum in preparation of celebrations .
Only had Woods rum before and I'm sure its good , but for me it was like drinking lit petrol ( mostly a beer man myself)
Any other suggestions for a really good bottle ? maybe I'll just drink a finger or two of the Morgans every time we get to another 10p mark , and save the good one for Sale day .

I don't think any of us longer term holders want to band around any big numbers , as its such a waiting game , and because if the outcomes of these trials are positive , the implications really can't be measured .
Looking back , £4 was laughed at 18 months ago , but here we are , sitting at £4 , and all a bit disappointed we aren't sitting at £5 .
Having seen NCYT go from pennies to nearly £6 in a matter of months , the reality is that it can happen .
But the market at least has some confidence in us , as we are at £4 without hitting the market yet or having signed any big deal.
What I do think is that these next 3 months will be the most important months for Faron as a company in their history so far , and for Markku and his team .
The fact that we haven't been picked up and used as a political football is a big relief .
We have just been allowed to get on and do our thing , allowing the science to do the talking .
Talk of £20 or £30 is exciting , and maybe a bit over the top , but both of Farons treatments are for illnesses with unmet need , and those markets are worth billions .
We have a relatively small number of shares , no need for funding , and are on the cusp of making possibly two major breakthroughs .
The company is ready to hit the ground running , having had years to build up the relationships with manufacturing partners and government bodies .
The board is overflowing with talent , knowledge , and experience .
Everything is in place - the team have not put a foot wrong this year in getting us to where we are , I have nothing but praise for the company .
The only problem I have had with Faron is me . Over the years , I've sold shares when I should have just held . I've panicked and had the wobbles when the SP has nosedived . I've usually ended up buying them back a few days later after giving myself a talking to , but I should have adopted a more cool Finnish attitude and trusted myself more .
But we all have to balance things so we sleep well at night .
Anyway , hopefully we won't have long to wait till one of the balls hits the back of the net , and we can all jump up and down and celebrate !

So they stop using the combination of remdesivir & IFN Beta 1a ( injected - so not our therapy anyway ) - as it had more adverse effects on the critical patients than remdesivir on its own on critical patients .
Remdesivir has shown to be pretty much marginal in its effectiveness anyway - and now they know that if you mix it with a IFN Beta1a injection , its not good either .
Sounds similar to when you mix corticosteroids and our I/V IFN Beta1a ( probably be the same for injected & steroids )

From these studies , they seem to be getting closer to realising that IFN Beta1a should really be a monotherapy , or if used with other drugs , not as a ****tail at the same time .

This was all ironed out for Faron during the post hoc analysis of INTEREST .

Meanwhile , Trump had secured huge amounts of remdesivir as a political vote winner - oops .

NIH had begun this trial Aug 5th - so 2 months in and they pull it ( Adaptive trial )

We have been on Remap & Solidarity for 5 months and not been pulled ( both Adaptive trials )

Add in the footnote on an RNS put out by Faron regarding the difference between injected and I/V delivery of IFN Beta1a - that they were chalk and cheese methods of therapy - and I think we can sit back , relax , and just wait for our results to come through.

I sold out completely yesterday . This was more of a side share for me , to dip in and out of , but last night I gave it some thought , reconsidered , and bought it all back this morning ( after the dip unfortunately ).
I feel this is one of those rare beasts , like GGP , where it will just continue to grow .
So time to sit on my hands , and see where this goes .

Good so see that our largest private investor , who has not sold a bean since the early days , and has added through the rising share price , has added a few more recently .
Gone from 13.94 to 14.08% holdings .
Good confidence in the future no doubt .

I've lost count of the days when a share RNS comes out , people are shouting Boom! and jumping up and down , then the share slides 7.5% and ends the day 0.5% down .
Somehow I don't think this will be one of those days .

For Faron to make a comment , it must be an important enough new discovery that it has got them excited . They don't normally post much outside of RNS's.
After this weekends musings about genetic links etc , we now have an even bigger marker to help the scientists match up the patient to the right treatment .
And it all sounds such a logical explanation to what doctors are seeing on the ground .

Every report just de-risks our treatment another step .

SP may have been reacting to this today , hard to know if that was it . Bid was up to £4.38 , then £4.43 briefly , then sank a bit - but the Nas side volume was healthy - so I think we will see some good action now .

Two new "Science" publications indicate that type I interferons are a focal point of the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection. This also results in new approaches for therapy.

Great find - more joining of the dots that Interferons are key to both treating and explaining why certain types of people are more vulnerable .
They seem to be making weekly discoveries every time scientists look at Immunology and the role it plays in disease and treatment .

Article also casts doubt on the Plasma treatment - so thats another overhyped story used for political gain

Of particular interest was the finding that more than 95 percent of patients who produced interferon antibodies were men and 65 percent were over sixty.

- It explains why the disease caused by the coronavirus attacks the elderly and men in particular.

- There are usually many more women with autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatism. The production of interferon antibodies appears to be related to the male sex. No such virus has been detected.

According to Seppänen, the big question is why interferon antibodies are concentrated in men.

- Why are men susceptible to producing interferon antibodies?

The results of the research will help to find and develop new treatments for the disease and to reject the old ones.

- In the past, for example, administering plasma recovered from a coronavirus to a patient was considered a good form of treatment and a good idea.
