Managed to listen to the Sharesoc seminar today .

Covered some old ground , but also got Markku's take on current events , WHO , Inhaled interferon , Steroids and also some more talk on Clevegen future , and where he sees the value coming from .

Interesting that those who listened live , 79% were not curent shareholders . So shows that at least he wasn't just preaching to the converted . His accent isn't the easiest to grasp , and I expect many were left wondering what certain words were , but I think he came across very well again , and answered a few of my questions that I had in my mind .

Points of interest ( not in any particular order )

1.) WHO - Faron have asked them to reissue a statement regarding I/V use on SOLIDARITY ( or lack of it ) as he obviously feels upset that they didn't and the fact that it had an adverse affect on the FARN SP because of it , and that it knocked them back . He almost said it , but held back at intimating that Merck had some influence in the use of injected interferon . He did say that they had missed a huge opportunity - and had made a major mistake in the trial design .

2.) INHALED Interferon - First time I have heard Markku talk of it , and he does seem impressed with the results it has shown . He sees it as a viable option of delivery , particularly as it doesnt seem to be knocked back by steroid mixing . He does note though that once the lungs are in a bad way , inhaled becomes invalid as a delivery method , and I/V is the way to go . So he sees both being used , which ties in with SNG's plan to use nebulisers as a first line of defence , even as a pre infection use , then I/V once a much larger dose is required , or patient is admitted to hospital .

3. STEROIDS - He showed the post hoc analysis of INTEREST which again reinforced how effective Traumakine is . But as post hoc analysis is not a valid trial result as such - Hibiscus will have to repeat the exercise . However , he does not see steroids as being a no no , just not at the same time . He sees the treatments being Inhaled at the start , I/V for those that don't respond to Inhaled , and finally Steroids for those that don't respond to I/V .

4.) CLEVEGEN - more data coming in soon , and he seems very excited that it will lead to much more Clevegen activity . The Uveal cohort seems very much an optimal set of candidates for Clevegen , as those patients have not been through the number of alternative therapies before being tried on Clevegen ( as there are none ) , so their Immune system will be more robust in order to help the body fight the Clever1 levels .
The partnering discussions have been ongoing , but he admitted that these people wanted more data before committing - and additionally , as more data is released , so the value of the therapy rises , so it seems Faron are attempting to get as much data as possible before doing a deal , before more funding is needed . part 2 next

And there are 33 active interventions in 12 domains .

Not sure what that means to us , but its the first additional bit of info I've seen there for months - possibly gearing up to announce latest updates .

WHO kerfuffle knocked the wind out of our sails already , otherwise we probably would have taken another hit today .

The evidence is all there . I am still fuming that the WHO wasted the chance of a lifetime . Meanwhile Faron and SNG are having to push on themselves . I can't wait for Markku to be vindicated . It will be like the end of an epic Western !

Interesting as to why Faron are doing a webinar with sharesoc ?
I can't remember them ever doing one before ( not in the last couple of years anyway) ?
Would certainly tie in nicely with a juicy update on the Mon /Tues .

I vowed I wouldn't top up under £2.80 out of principle , but decided a few more wouldn't hurt .
After yesterdays carnage , a few of my quick winners have become slightly longer term holds now , so after a bit of a jiggle around , I put a bit more in here for the long game , as it will come good in the long run , one way or another .

The one thing to always remember with Faron is it often rerates out of the blue ( up as well as down )

The top line data from the first Clevegen cohorts will be the next planned rerate ( could be any day ) . Good data will give us the mother of rerates thats for sure . Bad data , erm... lets not even go there ( nowhere left to go after the pants I'm afraid )

Green , it is shameful , and saddening . Big money , big business .
Doesn't help the FDAs holier than thou image they keep trying to press . Trust isn't earned easily , but it can sure be lost quickly . If I'd been the EU bloke ordering a billion euros of Gilead drugs , I'd have made sure I did it on the phone or internet , then I'd have 14 days no quibble money back guarantee . Any private purchase would just cancel the order and tell them to jog on . Scandalous - and the UK coughed up to buy some as well at the last minute . I suppose they can put it in the warehouse with all the Rebif they bought too . It does beggar belief .
Maybe lessons will be learnt - but I doubt it .

Yeah , what a waste of time that WHO involvement was . Just goes to show there often isn't a shortcut if you aren't in total control . Oh well , we've taken the hit on the SP . Nothing has actually changed other than we missed out on a leg up with the WHO . Everything else is on track , and the data is still there for Traumakine to have its day .
At the end of the day we only have to convince one person , and that's ourselves .

Research and the data don't change .

No disrespect to the interviewer , but what he was saying must have sounded like complete gobbledegook to her . Good job she didn't have to reply to any of his statements . Its taken me years to translate markku speak lol

Short answer probably is yes .
A company with no income stream is going to either partner up or raise funds to continue .
All down to whether the Clevegen update is positive - in which case likelihood of a cracking partner deal is much enhanced , and already Markku has intimated that partner interest has exponentially increased with the expansion of Clevegen cohorts into more conditions with unmet needs .
But we've had partner interest for years and no deal ever done - my opinion whilst they can raise funds to continue alone and give themselves more value for a sale - thats the way they've chosen . But it gets to a point where they have to partner up , for simple scale and practicality .
Markku has stated that he is trying to avoid dilution to shareholders any more , but if Clevegen update is crazy good , and SP rises , I don't mind a big placing so long as its x3 the current SP .
But the fact that we have over 10 cohorts , and possibility of adding more , the opportunities for partnering must be plentiful .
I feel Markku is ready for a payday . The shareholders have had a long and often frustrating wait . The big investors have been in for years . Still new innovations coming through the pipeline .
So lets get it sold - They've kept 100% ownership through Phase 1 and well into phase 2 and the price tag keeps rising with every update .
But I still have a feeling they may pull something a bit leftfield . Beyond my knowledge , but I just get the sense that all this cuddling up to Business Finland , EU grants and soft loans isn't finished .

One way or another we should know by Christmas .

Faron are expecting the topline data from the first expansion cohorts for Clevegen Q4 2020 . Tie this in with the mentioned shareholder value period that Markku mentioned , and that is why we are thinking there may be some sort of announcement of potential partnering . Either way , if the results are looking good - it should add some value .
Regarding the steroids , so far the WHO have only shown results from injected Interferon . Our results have yet to come . But as many on here fear , it wouldn't surprise us for Farons patients to be a mix of steroid users . They don't appear to have a non steroid domain like they have in REMAP . Hence why the hurry on to get Hibiscus up and running maybe ( also penciled in for initiation in Q4 2020 ) . If the WHO make a bodge of our therapy by not following Farons recommendations , we will just have to shake it off and continue with REMAP & HIBISCUS . REMAP does seem pretty clued up on steroids , having done an extensive trial already . So the data they have been generating should help everyone understand how best our I/V drug will fit in , as they have be running it on patients with and without steroids .

I'm lloyds and thats a pretty standard and common issue , nothing out of ordinary . usually happens when the bid/ask is being adjusted ( usually downwards ) , even on tiny amounts . try a minute later it'll usually give a quote .

Green , yes my plan too . Tomorrow morning would be handy . £1.55 my guess . One of my most profitable investments , yet one that was a complete punt - and I must admit , I'm still none the wiser as to what will happen as I was at the start . If it does actually come off , a lot of AIM shares will get some rum soaked money thrown at them . I did throw Faron out there on a ' what shall I invest my winnings into next ' thread . It only got one like - probably you lol . Oh well , their loss , our gain !

Funny what a few days can do . Last week I was dreaming of gold plated taps on my yacht , this week I'm rummaging around for a knife and fork to possibly sit down for a plate of pants and chips .
My 18% conversion rate of the Nas price used to quite accurate . On todays 3.51 euro , we are looking at £2.87 .
Hence why I have been keeping some cash back incase this corrected to the 18% rule . The powers that be seem to be able to push the price around to suit when the volume is low . What looks like a late £50k bit of selling kicked us in the nuts at the end of the day .
Hold tight - it may get worse before it gets better . Not pleasant , but if they take this below £3 , it has to be a no brainer to buy more - just for Clevegen .
It helps to keep reminding yourself that you are a long term holder , and that you are in good company with so many others holding for the end goal price , not the end of the day price .

Two events that Faron will be presenting at next week . Will be interesting if Dr Juho expands on the latest news . The Macrophage Summit should be interesting too . All this WHO business this week and we sometimes forget all the positive steps that have been going on in the background . The manufacturing , the Cancer IO tie up , and the huge potential of Clevegen going forward into phase 3 trials .

GK its REMAP not the WHO , but you aren't far off the mark . I just looked at the REMAP drugs again and one of them is Vitamin C . Maybe it IS an apple , although it could be an orange . It wouldn't surprise me if they started testing inhaled raspberry , would give new meaning to ' blowing a raspberry' .

One explanation for the steroids being mixed in with Interefon on Solidarity ( up till now - perhaps we have moved into a new phase ? ) is that I can't find anything when googling Rebif about not to mix with steroids .
As this drug was a repurposed Multiple Sclerosis therapy , many MS sufferers appear to take steroids too - to reduce pain , so historically there hasn't been an issue .
Merck would certainly have stipulated that if there had been known side effects/clashes .
Synairgens SNG drug also seems not to be bothered about steroids , whether they discovered that by luck in their last trial or they already knew it having looked at previous data who knows .
And up till mid 2018 - Faron didn't know it either , it was only as a high % of INTEREST trials patients were taking them that they realised it themselves .

REMAP has had a few extra drugs added to its list ( 12th October ) - Aspirin and a few others .

At least we know this trial is actually using Traumakine , and in the right way , and with steroid free domain.

I don't think the solidarity trial is flawed . We just haven't had our allocated patients yet , as we joined the party a bit late .
It certainly isn't a perfect trial , but we have yet to see our hand played .
I just hope when the time comes they actually let Faron explain the results rather than dumping them out there .

Zum , obviously investors in Covid stocks and the market have seen this report as a negative , but I think we may be getting ahead of ourselves if we are thinking we are out of the running with this.
The results posted show Interferon as being of no use .
But every bit of info I can find says that the Interferon used was given subcutaneously ( over 1400 patients )
Add in the fact Faron stated in the RNS that at the time of the data cut for this 'First' set of results , their I/V drug had only become available very late in the observation period , and that it is their understanding that it had seldom been used .
Add in the WHO reporting that patients mainly received subcutaneous IFN beta-1a , also printed in the RNS.

So , to be honest I am as optimistic as I was on Thursday .
I was however frustrated that we were caught up in the half baked way the results came out - ie only the first set -which had next to zero amount of our therapy involved , yet were guilty by association .

So presuming the WHO are still running Solidarity , which they appear to be , we will be getting the ' Second' set of results somewhere down the line which will be our therapy . The fact that steroid use is widespread means that for this trial maybe we will just have to take the results with the steroids in , but its easy enough to filter them out in final analysis . The FDA were able to understand Faron's steroid argument - hence Hibiscus , and REMAP were sensible enough to create a non steroid domain for Traumakine too .

Possibly we got a bit over excited when it was RNS'd that we were part of Solidarity all those months ago . But to be honest , myself and others failed to see any Clinical Trial info showing I/V - it was all subcutaneous on any NIH trial protocols . So we just guessed that it must be in there somewhere .

At least with REMAP it was all there in the protocols etc .

I expect the SP will flutter around the £3.50 mark for a while , until we get some more clarity , although what I've read from Faron & WHO reassures me that we are yet to be assessed on Solidarity - the drug is now being used - so we will see .

Having now seen that it was the injected form of delivery that failed , its actually a relief ,as if the subcutaneous therapy HAD worked , We'd almost have a bit of egg on our faces , as Faron have been telling the world how injected Interferon wont work in the same way as our I/V .

We're still in the game - and then coming over the hill is the cavalry anyway ( the big C ) !

Recent youtube vid of some guy analysing the Remdesivir outcome - 9.10 onwards - he mentions that the delivery method is important - also goes on to explain the RR , confidence intervals and P ratings , which is a good little explanation if you hang in there and watch it .
