I had a fear that once we started getting close to the real big time , this board would get flooded with ludicrous arguments and fisticuffs . But what we seem to have got is a steady accumulation of knowledgeable , pleasant and well researched posters. Long may it last !

Again I don't think its an either or . I hold shares in both .
CEO of Faron did comment last week in the press saying that the inhaled version has its place , but as Faron have often worked with patients at the severe/near death end of the spectrum , who are often on ventilators , their lungs are often too damaged by leakage to take a nebulised therapy - so the only way to deliver it is by I/V ( or injection , and again they have published papers to show that I/V is far superior method of delivery than suncutaneous )
Also , with the trreatment , dosage and timing is critical .
Faron have patented methods of monitoring the condition of the lungs , and knowing how much to administer , and how the patient is responding .
I really hope the home trials with SNG prove good , as that in my mind would be the perfect win-win .
But I think even with SNG's best efforts to get nebulisers to people at an early stage , it probably only the privileged richer countries than will get even close to achieving that . For the rest of the world it will be take your chances , and then if you do actually get to a hospital , you may get a nebuliser , or in my opinion , you will have probably missed the boat for an early treatment by then , and will benefit more from an I/V dose .
As regular Interferon has to be refrigerated , and may only last 3-6 months , the freeze dried format will be a lot more practical to ship out to poorer /hotter countries , and also for countries to stockpile in order to be ready for further waves etc .

So we've had a heads up on nebulized , and subcutaneous delivery - all positive
Just waiting for our I/V delivery heads up - which to start with was pretty much shown to be the most efficient way of delivering the therapy .
A way that after post hoc analysis , taking into account the steroid overlap , was proven to work .
All they were looking for at the start of this year was a small box ticking trial ( CALIBER) , just to satisfy the FDA .
Would any logical person bet against this not working in some shape or form ?

I really don't see how our results won't be similar or better than Markku would expect , given all the trials and data analysis that has been done .
They know exactly how to analyse the data sets now , to prove up the therapy .
Years of post hoc analysis on Interest have given them the advantage of being experts at that .

The patents are such a bonus too .

Freeze drying Interefon Beta1a is a goldmine patent on its own .

I'm sure I'm not alone in being truly excited on what happens with us over the next few weeks .
Looking back at the SP and number of shares , we have obviously had a number of placings in 2019 , so I think we roughly have a good 25% more shares now than in 2018 . So maybe £4.50 is actually an ok price given that we are still awaiting confirmation of trials results . But that would give little value to Clevegen . So yes we are undervalued big time.
Given the unprecedented scenario we are in with Covid , you really could not put a value on us if we are proven up .
I've just written a £ number down , folded it up and popped it on my shelf .
If and when we hit the big time , I'll post up what that number is , see how close I was ( and I'll be honest )

I'm in SNG too ( 10% of what I'm in Faron )
So glad to see loads more press etc on SNG - and I just see it as a win win .
Rentschler had an agreement with Faron which is now under arbitration ( on a no win no fee basis via a third party ) .
Probably due to Rentschler trying to back out of a commitment to produce Farons new cell lines in order to establish their lyphilised version of Interferon Beta 1a . Remember this was back in Oct 2019 , when they assumed probably rightly that they weren't going to recoup much back on the investment required to do that .
Roll forward 6 months , and Faron announce that Business Finland have given them pretty much a blank cheque low interest loan to fiance this themselves through whatever avenue they decide.
Interferon Beta will be needed globally - and having it in a freeze dried , easily distributed , and easily stored form is going to be invaluable .
SNG I think is going to be massive . If the early intervention method works as well as they have indicated , multi multi bagger from even £2 .
But I think Faron are on that same trajectory . Once the lungs are damaged to the point that endothelial leakage is occurring , a nebulizer isn't going to cut the mustard . Intravenous delivery of the protein is then the only and most effective way of delivery . So we are complimentary . Together , fingers crossed , we can make a real difference , and unlike vaccines which will have to be constantly updated and re-invented , the Interferon therapy is a one stop shop against acute lung injury .
So stick a few quid on SNG too if you're worried ,and looking further down the road , Clevegen for us , and COPD for SNG are worth sticking around for .
The steroid put down is a bit of a flat balloon now . Everyone involved knows the score . Any data analysis will take it into consideration . There are no skeletons in the cupboard , they all fell out in 2018 .

Also Remap does allow for steroids , but if it is used with Traumakine it gets its own arm , so they are monitoring it closely .

Markku said in a recent interview that there was a place for steroids and Traumakine to be used on the same patient , just not at the same time . Timing is everything , as is the severity of the lung damage . Thats why Faron have developed systems for identifying , and monitoring the CD73 expression .

I'm surprised we haven't had a Clevegen update .
They said that there had been no hold ups , even accelerated interest in some of the new arms.

In fact there are so many updates due , we could get 3 or 4 pile up in one go .
Take you pick - manufacturing of T , Matins update , Rentchler arbitration , WHO or REMAP , Hibiscus . AC03 inhibitor.
And if past history is anything to go by , it won't be any of those lol

A clever person would have sold FARN yesterday at 4.80 , bought some SNG at 1.59 , then today sold their SNG at 2.00 and bought some FARN at 4.39 .

Maybe I'm being a bit hard there on the WHO . Not knocking what they do - I'm sure there are thousands working hard . Its just the press conference seemed a bit lacking ( ie nothing about us lol )

Oil , its great to see doctors around the world doing their bit to enlighten the public .
I watched the WHO conference yesterday ( probably the 3rd one I've watched )
To be honest it was a bit cringe-able . To think this is the supposed world uniting force , the appearance they gave was of some office workers asked to shuffle into the meeting room and explain what they'd been doing that day . The phoned in questions were at best meaningless . I suppose they are stuck between a rock and a hard place , but they really need to serve up some constructive good news from what they are doing to save a bit of face .

Good old Dr Campbell . I started watching him when this whole thing started kicking off - I thought he was just a retired GP or something doing a blog . He's actually pretty good.
On a side note , I'd love it if Markku got interviewed and asked had he seen the SNG news on the telly , and he replied that no he'd missed it as he was taking a sh*t .

.....everyone's an expert on Interferons .
By that I mean the press , acting as if they've just discovered that vinegar is a good stain remover , or that bananas make you a better tennis player .
I remember a few months ago , me and a few others had to spend hours on a weekend trying to find a mention of the word , typically ending up down some internet cul-de-sac or some dodgy Iranian facebook page , running it through google translate 3 times until we ended up with ' injecting beta helps my camel sleep better '.
Now it's all on a plate for us . Youtube doctors telling us to spread it on our toast in the morning , we are literally tripping over the articles.
Yet for the last month , the main player in the ARDS Interferon clinical trials has been keeping a very low profile .
They have no need to self publicise . They have no need for extra funding . They don't need to be on any more trials .
Finlands finest are diligently putting the pieces in place , ready for what they expect to come .

They've been here before . A bit like me seeing £5 a few months ago then watching it slip through my fingers , only a lot more painful and embarrassing .

Emotionally attached to this share - absolutely .

But also with my eyes wide open . I've sold in scary moments , only to buy back again , many times a bit higher . We're all human .

If it all goes t*ts up , I won't lose my shirt . I wouldn't be happy , but it would have to be something majorly out of the control of Faron in my opinion to cause that . And thats a risk I'm happy to take .

The SNG results have been really encouraging , and opened the door for the the world to see what Interferons are all about . I must admit I was dubious that such as simple way of delivering IFN Beta 1a would be so successful , but as we discover more about Covid , looks like we both have round pegs for round holes .

Lets hope the next few weeks really kickstart the next leg up for Faron .
They have the right connections , a real professional BOD , and so much experience and expertise .

We really have had to endure being overlooked for so long , its borderline insane .

I put that 100% down to the Interest Trial . Any journo doing a 1 minute research would have just read that , and dismissed Faron and IFN Beta1a as a no hoper .

It's taken perseverance on Faron's part , many articles in peer reviewed journals , and steady rebuilding of the confidence of the FDA and investors to get us to where we are today .

So lets raise a glass to the Faron team and family , and to us investors , for all getting to this point .

Its been a rough and bumpy road to get here , but the road ahead looks exciting .
And like they say , its all about the journey anyway , not the destination !
