Its on SKY , BBC etc etc
Just wait till the USA gets it on their channels !

It will be interesting to see what the market thinks on their SP .
Similar situation in some ways - except SNG have always said they wanted a partnership or a takeover if they hit the jackpot.

Looks like SNG with their nebulized INFN Beta1a have had positive trial results .
Interesting that the RNS states that for those with more serious Covid conditions , it proved less effective - being better at the early stages .
I see that as a positive , as our therapy is aimed at treating the lungs once they are in ICU .

Another positive news story for Interferon Beta 1a - more spotlight now on others involved with that drug .

The comment about us having a massive slice of the cake , meaning that even if all forms of administering IFN work in different ways , we will still have massive sales due to general demand , and on the injected side - we could also gain in our freeze dried supply of the protein. So far the I/V route has proven more effective anyway .

Another IFN brand is AVONEX .

This is used in injection for MS - and comes in syringe kits , and vials , but also used to come in lyophilized form .
However , that format was discontinued at similar time Faron lodged patent for the lyophilized production method .
All their US sales sites just showed it as NLA . maybe there were problems with it's shelf life , or maybe the legal bods pulled them up .

I'm sure Rebif is being used in Farons trials as it's readily available ( or used to be )
This would be with Faron's approval so long as the dosing guidlines are adhered to .
Helskinki University hospital is a REMAP participating site too .
In the REMAP protocols it states :
IFN-ß1a 10 µg will be diluted in 1 mL of sterile water. The diluted IFN-ß1a will be administered as an intravenous bolus injection via a central or peripheral line. The injection will be followed with a 5 mL flush of sterile saline.IFN-ß1a is available in Europe, Australia, North America, and Middle and South-East Asia as REBIF®

The key factor is that we have the patents covering all aspects of the I/V delivery route .

If the world ends up using IFN Beta 1 injected , I/V , or snorted up your nose , we will have a massive slice of the cake , plus a patented way of making it with a long shelf life .

If I'm correct , I think the WHO had a big meeting in the spring to discuss what direction to take the trials , and the FDA and EMA were around the table . You'd expect a clear roadmap to be laid out for any positive outcomes , in regard to marketing authority , and also in the fairness of distribution to the globe . They must have done some planning of what to do with Traumakine , as they would know it needed their input to progress the availability.

As posters have noted - WHO conference today could spill a few beans .
REMAP seems to have slowed a bit , been stuck on 1299 patients for a while now .
Maybe they are assessing the first proper sets of data .
WHO has had over 5000 patients .
Thank goodness Faron donated those 2000 treatments to the WHO back in May .
Although I hope that the WHO doesn't let politics or corporate smooching influence anybody , its nice to know we have done our bit of back scratching already .
Surely the bods at these trials would like to be the first to announce a success - as it shines the light on them as well as the drug . Poor old REMAP might feel a bit miffed if WHO announces it first , despite Faron joining REMAP a month earlier.

Either way - Hibiscus ( if needed , and I think it may well be , just to placate the FDA ) , sure won't be long in recruiting patients .

The only difference is that it drops on no volume , but always rises with volume .

Waiting for these trial results reminds me of when they are choosing a new pope . Everyone is locked away , there are 2 or 3 possibles , but everything is under wraps . The worlds press are camped out , all cameras zoomed into that little chimney pot waiting for the tell tale white smoke . Maybe some journo has rented an office opposite Markku's in Turku , waiting to see a bit of celebratory cigar smoke come out of his window .

Not sold a bean yet since we came out of suspension . Best not to look sometimes . Luckily I was out during that MM raid . The swing in value of my stake here is crazy . I've still got 36p as my target before any selling but I'm enjoying the ride so much I really want to just hold on for the end game with my pot intact . I really don't think I will be as lucky with a share again for a while , so I might as well make the most of it !

More news on the inflammation that Covid causes - this time - more heart scans coming back on Covid patients showing damage .

The findings build on a growing body of evidence that Covid-19 affects not only the lungs but other organs including the brain and heart. Early studies from China and Italy showed that up to 20% of patients in hospital with Covid-19 had heart damage.
So we have Traumakine - helping to reduce inflammation in the lungs , and other organs , and even our secret weapon ( AC03 inhibitor ) is designed to reduce vascular inflammation . The announcement of that was a bit of a wet flannel , but hopefully we will get to hear more soon - surely if I'm connecting the dots some tefal head in Finland is already on the next chapter .
We need a good juicy RNS next please , not just another multimillion euro grant or a nobel science award or stuff like that .

If Sp had hit 36p or thereabouts I would have sold half at least . As it turns out I just ended up buying more . Got some at 11.7 and 12 ish . Not life changing amounts but will happily sit and wait for a sale now .

Its a shame we don't have a member of Faron team listening in who could answer our basic questions for certain .

Is the reason we are not seeing any other I/V Interferon trials around the globe because Faron have the patent for it , and orphan status for it , so that there is no point in any other manufacturer attempting to trial it ?
Probably - as the only two trials that are testing I/V IFNBeta1a - both involve Faron .

Can any IFN Beta1a form be used Intravenously ?
Probably - as REMAP sites are allowed to source their own local IFN Beta1a that is more readily available , and that trial is only looking at I/V delivery , so no point sourcing REBIF or whatever if you can't make it I/V delivery.

Have WHO trial sites run out of IFNBeta1a and why ?
The Philippines seem to have - possibly as they weren't expecting to be using it as much , possibly the WHO distribution is running out . The WHO say they have been trying to ensure treatments get spread widely , so perhaps .

Hopefully all these questions won't really matter soon as we'll get an update about the trials .

What I am starting to appreciate about shares that you hold long term and are interested in , is that you are always waiting for that next bit of news . Imagine not being bothered too much about the details , just check the SP now and again , or just when an RNS pops up . You'd have a much easier life and still earn / lose the same amount of money .
