Primetime51 - I've been transparent on here all throughout - I shared that as a new investor I'd accumulated stock here at low prices, with my average ~67p - it's my choice to have observed the unfolding events over in USA and I think I've spotted a fair opportunity to take out some profit, which is precisely what I've done today with my sale. I still maintain VOD is a good stock and I will keep on buying as and when I see value. What's your stake in VOD here? Are you Long hold? or Short?

61.7p for COP Friday IMO - Trump Slump likley to significantly accelerate when US markets open up later on today, and with the short week I don't think there will be enough time or appetite for a rally before COP.

£4 soon for EZJ IMO... Just look at the drop on Dow Jones today 😬 - around 960pts down & still hours yet to go before close.

Avocet123 - ECB rate cuts will help EU consumers yes. However... leisure spend is optional and when the Trump tariffs impact on exports to USA then jobs will be lost within EU and the first things cut will be leisure spend.

The consolidation once complete should make CPI a great stock for them shorters to extract lots of profits from. IMO - DYOR

Dow J has opened up 450-540pts down, and ECB is so worried about global turbulence that it's been jolted into a rate cut of 0.25%... it quoted "negative demand shock" with a unanimous decision that action was required.

EZJ Sliding into Easter, IMO we should soon be seeing 400p, and a little below, very soon.

ECB Cuts Rates - Brilliant news for VOD, as that gives support in particular for German consumer market. If ECB makes another cut at their next meeting then the situation for VOD in Germany should rapidly stabilise and begin to once again return to growth. Given it takes up to 9months for cuts to take effect stability should happen late summer/early autumn with growth thereafter.

Good news for VOD holders IMO - DYOR

I still remain net negative overall on CPI though, as this global turbulence is going to make the turnaround effort even more difficult. The many challenges for CPI are collectively gargantuan!

Kamyk - no I do not hold CPI shares. I came on here last summer contemplating investing into CPI but after asking questions on here decided against it. Some on here were especially defensive and rude... didn't like me analysing the financials and asking fair questions about CPI's outlook.

I made predictions CPI would post terrible results, I was proven correct and still I received vitriol...

GoCPI- problem is many on here who thought CPI would be £1 a share are those who also have backed the Donald and the Farage too... plus they've been Truss defenders!

CPI was in terrible situation, made especially bad by political choices.

Plenty to say about CPI:

Falling revenues (high single digit %).

Low new sales volumes.

Profits only due to asset sales, without which there would be losses.

Striking staff due to weak pay conditions.

Old IT equipment needing replacement.

Opening new offices in some global locations (SA), when the future is WFH/Hybrid.

Then there's global turmoil meaning demand likely to sharply decline.

Acute belt tightening by consumers on the way. Already demand had been cooling, with lower footfalls for the pub sector more broadly, going into this period of Trump chaos. I think sub 500p is inevitable now.

Populist right wing nonsense of Farage & Trump was always going to cause economic pain!

£1+ possible as the consolidation opportunity becomes processed at the end of the month.

Only recent some were advocating. I warned EZJ was heading lower, some got rather shouty on here & hurled abuse at me...

I wonder how they're getting on this week 🤔

424p is going to be looking pricey by time this week comes to a close

JG68 - oh its going to get much, much worse... because the economic prose of Trump & Farage is completely nonsensical. Not at all surprising the markets were going to tank with The Trumper in charge.

Primetime51 - exactly, which is why every country is so far opting not to sign the deal with Trump... after all why sign a submission deal to become USA's loyal pup... when countries can wait it out for USA to open a brutal economic war on many fronts & then gang up like a hungry wolf pack to devour & share out between the pack the chunks of that once mighty USA economy!
