Primetime51 - For me I've not made a bad call here. For me VOD held up very well against the storm of the Trump driven turbulence, thanks to the ongoing buybacks (they're not over yet), and the recent good results (Germany aside). I was able to purchase tranches, and I've made a sale releasing profits. I remain pro-VOD. Yes, I think VOD will now make a drop but it doesn't stop me holding the view that it remains a good investment.
As for EZJ, it's overbought by speculators. It's enjoyed good (but not stellar) demand up till now (the recovery needed to have been stronger than it has been) but... I just don't think that's going to continue to be the case. EZJ relies on lots of volume, and more recently it's become over reliant on strong ticket prices. O'leary has prior commented on ticket price softening, and now it's the case there is a deflationary demand shock on the way (both ECB and IMF have acknowledged this, and I called it some time ago). There will be some caught high and dry IMO, and I remain of the view EZJ is headed for Β£4 and below. I haven't invested into EZJ because I don't want to be holding its shares when it suffers a massive in flight Clear Air Turbulence drop. Something I think could happen soon. I've shared this view. You have a different one, and that is okay that we disagree as contrary to popular belief disagreement is permitted π
