Macy - That's false. I gave my view of why... It is because of the recent ratings downgrade (by JP Morgan on VOD) and the bearish sentiment now landing from many press articles; esp. including the one today from the Goldman Sachs about their bearish view on equities. I think it will have a short term negative impact on the VOD SP. Hence my view of where the SP will head to over the coming weeks ahead. Definitely not helping that German downgraded its growth to 0% too, that's bound to knock VOD down a run or two IMO.

Wednesday - That was a joke about 'taking a day off work on results day' - I had correctly predicted CPI would perform poorly and I reasonably correctly forecasted the headline FY 2024 revenue figure too. Yet still some on here continued to advocate £1 a share with no evidence to back up such claims.

Quite a number of press articles out there now saying there's a downturn and I imagine even though there might be periods of upswings that overall equities will be broadly in retreat for the foreseeable now. I still think VOD will turn out to be a decent investment but short term I also think it's likely to retreat towards 60p and possibly a little below, maybe even 57p. I can't see how the recent broker downgrade will help the SP either.

SinwarsSausage - you don't have to be a sophisticated trader to recognise CPI is in major financial trouble - it's sales volumes are far too low to prevent another YoY Revenue drop. Potentially CPI could even go sub £2bn annual revenue.

LOL - The conspiracy theories peddled on here are hilarious. As previously explained, I'm just a small minnow working class PI... If I was truly a shorter then I'd have been doing much more bragging, as it'd have been difficult to have lost on this stock! Sadly, I don't have the deep pockets yet. Neither can I afford to take risks shorting when I don't have the experience. Maybe one day in the distant future eh?!

I've never done it - Considering opening up shorts on EZJ + PNN... IMO both are now getting to the sort of prices where I think they are overvalued... Anyone have a view on the best platforms (or ones to avoid) to use for short trading? Any tips like, key things to watch out or be careful of?

Regularly when a stock drops there's someone out there who cries out posting 'looks like manipulation'.

Nonsense conspiracy theories! It's an open market, should you hold the view a stock is undervalued then go & hit that buy button, to help take the price to where you think it should be.

All well & good bagging renewals/extensions but the real issue with CPI lies with its monumental shortfall in the new sales dept... after all, what's the point in having a sales dept if they're not making sufficient sales! Examine them figs from the full year results, and what you'll discover is that part of the business is hugely underperforming. That is where the real failure of AH's strategy can be found IMO - DYOR

Nonsense - BT is losing market share with each iteration of results, and it has lots control of costs.

Vodafone on the other hand had positive results, has the 3 merger which will deliver consolidation benefits (reduced duplication) and it's gaining market share. Yes, Germany is the spoiler but... plenty of growth elsewhere offsetting that and Germany will likely return to growth in a couple of quarters down the line.

LOL - Immigration is the only thing propping up the UK's lacklustre growth figs. Irrespective of whomever has the keys to No.10 there will still be healthy levels of immigration because if Farage was to introduce his 'Net Zero migration' nonsense ideology then growth would turn inwards and UK would immediately discover it's inability to services it's debts... there would be bank runs & economic Armageddon. Though Farage will never admit that because his sole aim is to use immigration ideology to get the keys to No.10 - Once there he'd opt not to implement the very policy he currently peddles.

Macy - As I've already asked - Please can you explain what mistake it is that you think I have made here. I just do not understand what you mean. I don't get the point you're trying to make. Which is why I've asked for some clarification. I'm not trying to dismiss what you're saying, I literally do not understand the point which you have in your head and which you are trying to make. Please share it and I can then address it. I cannot address it else.

Macy - on the 'advice' matter you mention - hats off for recognising that you mis-spoke, can happen time to time and glad you recognised it. Turning to your 'main point' as you have called it - I've been clear, I don't understand what your main point is here; hence me asking for you to elaborate. Because very honestly I'm baffled as to what it is, reading a clear version (which I hope you can explain) would really help me with reading, understanding your critique, and therefore addressing it please.

On the topic of so named 'nit picking', 'winding people up' and 'avoiding answering questions' - those are your subjective opinions. I feel I've been clear & transparent, in my messages today I've attempted to provide further clarity, in case you are still unsure of my stance here i.e. to make my view as crystal clear as I possibly can do so.

Personally, I don't feel I got anything wrong here - I had bought into VOD since Nov 24 (something I shared openly on here), I think VOD is a solid business, and I booked a sale yesterday to take profits. I'm not really sure how it is that I can be any more clear than that. I've broken no rules (yes, selling for profits is surprisingly permitted - shock horror). I've been transparent in sharing my opinions as global and UK developments have emerged; thereby also opening my views to challenge by anyone on here.

Or maybe it is the case that you are annoyed with me for having booked a sale for netting profits?

You seem to be essentially saying that you can't explain your point.

Conversely my point (for clarity purposes) is this: I think VOD is doing well, I think it will continue doing well, and I will continue investing into VOD. Yes, I made a sale for profit but that does not mean that I think everyone should ditch their investments they might be holding in VOD.

Capita on the other hand... IMO if you're invested in CPI then 'Get out whilst you still can do so'.
