I'm not sure you can write off the UK Budget Jitters as being over. IMV I think there's carnage on the way as Reeves position to me looks untenable. Just look at the Gilts today (which fell yesterday)... I think traders digesting the detail are realising this budget she's delivered has more holes in it than a colander!
Basically she didn't tax the billionaires and multi-millionaires enough, and she lacked any pro growth measures too. Growth is going to fall much too short and it'll become crystal clear she'll be back for more taxation, again. This budget has backloaded far too many of the tax hikes, and the additional spend is too much, and too early - with those who can drive growth being hauled into paying far too much through fiscal drag and the combo of the many tax hike measures. It's unravelling fast, and she has to go sadly. That's my view, and I'm a Labour backer too. She's toast IMO.
I think the moment the SP here approaches 160p or maybe a little above, them shorts will open back up & they'll seek to exploit the turbulence. It's not over yet. DYOR
