GoCPI - I am neither invested nor shorting here with CPI so theres literally zero impact either way for me when the SP moves.

I'm far more interested in how AH is seemingly succeeding with his acts of pulling the wool over LTH's eyes. There will be a day of reckoning here for CPI LTH's, it's just being delayed for the time being.

👆This makes no sense at all. There are no benefits. The CPI business is getting smaller and you'll all be owning more shares in the smaller firms. Plus some costs have been pushed out into the future, meaning when the growth fails to materialise or falls short of expectations there will still be a day of reckoning for holders.

I maintain my view AH is simply buying time here to perform further asset fire sales. These RNS's back up my long held opinion (as thats why AH was brought in here)👌

So basically a deal cut with the company whereby it can exercise share options, and receive some annual payments...

Then CPI through setting up this arrangement gets to deploy some accounting methodology to remove it from adjusted figures going forwards...

Trying to work out the impacts/risks here for both parties looks really tricky. LTH's will no doubt really need to pour over those details with an accounting hat on!

Agree AimMaster2018- that's reads as a pitch roll, essentially downgrading the guidance narrative from what it was prior.

The best bit at the end on the 'closed book Life & Pensions business' - basically because they say it's now a business exit any figs relating to it will be removed from adjusted figs...

Do others view this as an accounting slight of hand to paper over a large loss where thats concerned?

Reads as being somewhat shifty IMV as I recall someone on here saying theres an evergreen £20mil annual recurring loss relating to one customer 🤔 - with a potential £100mil charge to completely exit that contract (and I can't spot the bit in the TU where they say they've been able to make that exit - spoze those details may be saved up for the FY2025?)

AimMaster2018 - I'm positive your short will pay-out, and probably quite a large sum too! Whilst I've no doubt it'd be a tad daunting watching the SP rally of late... underneath it all is a business with far too many staff for its lacklustre revenues (34k employees), an economy running on mere vapours (needing central bank rate cutting for support) and with poor forward growth projections too. I remain confident the prognosis for CPI is ~£2bn FY2025 revenue and possibly it might fall a little short of that threshold too?! (Fines + elevated costs + further decline of sales).

Around 200 easyJet check-in and baggage handing staff at London Luton Airport are set to walk out for six days in a dispute over pay.

Industrial action is set to begin at 3am on 19 December until 3am on 22 December, then again between 26 and 29 December.

From my perspective I'm unsurprised by the rise pre-results... typically this stock draws in PI's on the approach, then the day prior the shorts get placed, then land the terrible results on the day and the PI's lick their wounds & blame it on manipulation.

Well VOD still has many franchisees today, as it is a large element of their business model. The end outcome will be really interesting, and could potentially end up setting/shaping some precedents for future franchise legal agreements.

In the end what will matter for VOD is whether the franchisee's are successful or not in their claim, and the scale of any redress to set things right.
