£1.30p = floor price for BT stock IMO - It's a no brainer for funds to add this stock. DYOR

I don't give advice - I explain my opinions and share some evidence I find too. Others should do their own research to arise at their own conclusions... Merely conveying that its possible some may have paid attention to my comments and on doing their own research too they may have saved some money (they may also have not saved some money).

I'd have kept on holding but... as you say given you've lots of shares I can see how for you it makes sense to net something from today's gains 👍

Thank you very much Stupmy! It's continuing to be a successful trading year for me here and I'm pleased I seem to have read the market well so far, Macro and business specific but... being grounded here to not get too over confident too.

broomtree - Yep, I really thought more would join the sell off pressure ahead of the results and believed perhaps therefore it'd cause BT SP to drop below £1 - I also made clear that if it did drop then I would have been buying up some more. It never went below £1 though, I got close to buying up some more when it hovered just above £1 but in the end opted against it to maintain my cash flow and avoid the potential trap of getting too greedy.

Nonsense posts... Pah!! Had some on here paid attention to my comments they may have saved themselves a few bob - I simply don't have the power/influence to move the price of shares, what an utterly ridiculous comment. I'm a small time investor and I've simply explained my opinion and have provided the evidence to back up my POV too - Clearly the only thing some on here have is to vent via huffing + puffing , some open ridicule incl. bold type shouting plus a few wild conspiracy theories thrown in too for good measure.

At £1.30 the 8p Divi alone nets an investor a 6.15% ROI.

Anyone buying at prices below £1.30p is imo snapping up an absolute bargain!

It's inevitable sales will keep growing - after all what businesses or individuals will step backwards and opt to cut themselves off from their high speed data/5G telecoms connections? The capex spend will keep on paying out and even more add on services will become appended over time for customers to purchase.

IMO the 8p divi has pretty much put a floor price on BT stock at around £1.25p because that equates to a 6.4% annual return and is way above what an investor can reliably achieve from buying bonds and a heap of other equities. So I think as the penny drops we'll see us climb nicely :-)

Seeing resistance around the 126p mark... Can we get over it and then above £1.30p today? - I happen to think we will because 8p divi at these prices should draw in many pension and investment funds to get involved. Easy decision to provide their customers with a stake in a low risk equity for a healthy ROI.

More nonsense from the Debt Purists...

The debts taken out to invest and spend on FTTP + 5G will payout as capex peak has now been reached. yet the sales of add on services will keep on growing nicely, thus delivering healthy inflows to the coffers to pay down those debts! With each passing year the capex will keep on falling but them sales will keep on growing (as not everyone signs up immediately to benefit from the new capacity in their area, so those inflows lag a little but... they pickup over time).

Sundezena - Sadly, I don't think you'll see your 510p today. - I'm not disputing the insatiable demand for travel since the post covid bounce back... I just don't think you can draw a linear trend line that goes forever upwards... Many have done and are doing their holz but there will be a pullback and I don't think Squeezy have fully accounted for that in their aggressive capacity expansion plans.

Going out on a limb here... Looking forward into 2025/26/27 I think Squeezy may find it's bought too much capacity. OTB reported its sales at the value end of the market were below par, whereas it reported strength in the upper end of the market. TUI did a little better, possibly explained because it offers lots of upselling options and greater range of options at the upper end of the market. EZY may hit trouble after the summer 2024 has closed out (it will be a mega busy summer ahead). It has taken a big gamble on capacity with the spending on new fleet.

TUI results stated 40% summer sold (from recollection) so looks in alignment to me.
