There won't be tangible interest accrued because CPI has already mostly and possibly completely spent that cash it had raised from the asset sale.

Also CPI certainly will be lean as getting ever more lean by the day as AH sells off component parts! There's no mean though... it's struggling to stay afloat and next week on the markets is likely to expose LTH's to a taste of just how bad things are at CPI. All IMO - DYOR.

More pain will be on the way next week yet IMO, lots of data releases Wednesday, highly unlikely there's any good news.

I've said for a while EZJ was overrated SP, okay so I got the timing wrong but for too long now many in UK have been going about spending with too little understanding of just how deeply embedded the damage is from 14yrs of Tory debt accumulation and failure to maintain public services standards... not to mention negative fallout from brexit which is also accumulating underlying economic damage YoY too. Up till now EZJ has arguably benefited... more flights but... as time goes on & insolvencies build momentum, as do the job cuts and household finances weaken then ultimately businesses like EZJ will lose out.

The signal was when the 'bounce back' still did not hit levels above 2019 pre-covid. A strong economy should have seen numbers go above pre-covid little more than 3-4yrs later.

IMO you may have added too early Carrington. Even more pain on the way next week for stocks, lots of data released and it's highly unlikely to be good news.

Trisor... the majority of companies have debts, CPI has them too. Yes, any debt refinancing is clearly going to cost CPI a higher rate to borrow (if anyone is brave enough to lend to CPI that is) so... that will of course add costs to its outgoings, thereby harming profitability (not that CPI is actually net profitable right now because it's profitability is propped up in 2024 by the asset sale of Capita One, which brought into the coffers ~£180m).

However, your fixation on debts is not what I have been mostly been talking about. Yes, I have mentioned debt but it's not the central issue here for CPI IMO...

The issue is cash in hand/cashflow or whichever term you choose to prefer to use... and that's because with revenues sharply falling & profitability only being propped up by asset sales then if you take away the asset sales then you'll quickly find CPI runs into the critical problem of having little to no cash in hand to continue operating. It's especially difficult because CPI currently needs cash to pay for cost cutting activities which won't raise new cash incoming and will only serve to slow the losses at a later point in time down the line. There's also new cash demands being made for AI investment which also won't bring new cash into the coffers until down the line.

VOD is a no brainer IMO - 3 merger to look forward to in the year ahead, it's reporting healthy sales and then there's debt pay downs from the sale of Vodafone Italia plus ongoing £2bn more share buybacks. VOD a very long term investment for me though. It's definitely not going to be moving upwards sharply short term and I'm just accumulating the odd tranche here and there on SP dips.

As for BT though, results were poor as sales and market share falling.

Trisor - I've been consistently clear. However, the fact that you appear to wish to twist my words is your problem and not mine. I've explained why CPI is majorly fiscalally challenged; I've shared ample robust evidence, and what's more since doing so the SP has done nothing but fall.

I've explained IMO that AH and the board now have more limited options practically available to them, and I've explained it's my view they'll need to take prompt action; either prior to or in conjunction simultaneously with the Early March FY update. Had AH and the board acted earlier to do more preventative financial shoring up then I think they could have been in a better position right now. I think AH and the board either didn't see the imminent macroeconomic storm heading their way or they didn't believe it would be quite so severe as it is proving to be.

Most options available to AH and the board I think are likely to damage the SP, and potentially if they pick the wrong route even the solvency of the business too (hence they'll be unlikely to choose those - primarily: Rights Issue to boost cash in hand). There are some options (primarily: merger or sale to another business) which could possibly provide a route out and upwards for CPI but... they'll most certainly come with a short term cost in the meantime.

AimMaster2018 - Yes, UK borrowing is high... as the Tories accumulated mountains of debt and then called a snap election because they knew they could no longer manage it- so rather than grapple with the issue they left the mess for the Labour Government to clean up.

Macy - I'm not at all worried about my VOD investment, as I'm still buying up more and it's still early days yet. I've a wedge of cash, which I'm drip feeding to periodically buy up more; as and when the SP dips. I'm simply using Pound cost averaging method, except as a new investor to VOD I'm securing exceptionally superb price points- when compared to prices existing VOD investors out there have paid. That's because VOD is doing well and has a bright future with the 3 network merger just approved by the CMA. Anyways as for CPI... I see it's now really coming under pressure to hold 13.24p - I did forewarn though! Some dismissing my evidence and views are likely to end up looking rather silly IMO.

JG68 - Careful what you wish for there! CPI has a need for cash and if necessary will have to borrow from the markets just as many other businesses do so... higher rates equals more pain for CPI.

With CPI Market Cap now just £225mil each day AH and the board waits before taking action to shore up the financials will just lock in more pain for the SP.

Trisor - You're just embarrassing yourself now...

Everyone knows it's the Tories failed economic management over the last 14yrs which has caused huge accumulated national debts (£2.7 Trillion), the decay of public services and the monumental mess in NHS healthcare. It's little wonder why Labour now having taken power are finding there is a monumental mess to clean up.

Tories stole from the public treasury and used the cash to gift yachts to Michelle Mone & many other Tory chums. Not to mention Tories delivered the damaging brexit deal which has made the UK poorer too.

I've no idea if or when CPI could reach £0.00 - That all depends on AH and the board. What I can be 99.9% certain of though is CPI SP is going to be punished next week when the GDP figs are released and again when the CPI results land in early March (if the business still has cash to remain solvent by then, as it's running remarkably low on cash in hand).

Avocet123 - My VOD investment is going well than you - I bought first tranche back in early Dec for ~68p... have added a handful of tranches since then but am continuing to accumulate. As a brand new investor into VOD these low SP's are a great buying window. SP average currently tracking ~67-68p so on the current 66.5p today there's no issues here.

Yep, since I began trading in Dec 2022 I'm still managing to continue my unbroken record of having booked no losses thus far. Naturally, it'll happen at some point yes but... it's yet to do so, as I've read the available macroeconomic data out there and have managed to conduct my stock purchases and sales at just the right times to have booked rather health profits. CURY, TUI, BT, JDW and some others have done well for me! Though none of which I'm currently invested in atm, kept cash back here as I saw these drops coming (okay so I got the exact timing a little off right... but this IMO has been brewing up for a long while now - and I have said that on this discussion board and others too).

I've warned about it for a while now and what's more alarming is it's happening even quicker than I'd believed was possible. I was expecting stability for the SP today/tomorrow and perhaps even a rise back towards 13.7p... and yet it's finding little support.

When the real blow is delivered next week there could well be full blown pandemonium here.

Rock200 - That's drives right to the heart of the real issue here though... because CPI is just not winning enough lucrative contracts. Yes, it's winning a few lucrative better margin contracts but the number is far too few to keep CPI in business medium-long term.

Then again... Maybe Trenners & Trisor are really the same individual? 🤷
