The reason the claim was dismissed by the court and all they did was return the £1 remaining asset to the shareholder is because... on on page 4 (underneath heading titles 'Liabilities', 2nd paragraph) of the 'Liquidators' statement of receipts and payments to 22 May 2024' (dated 05 Jul 2024) you can see it states the following:
"Before the company was placed into liquidation, it was noted that a claim had been made in Court in relation to the Company in the amount of approximately £100,000 relating to its former business. It was also noted that the Company's business, assets and liabilities were transferred to another group company on 1 November 2022 pursuant to a Business Transfer Agreement, it was considered that any liability arising in respect of the claim identified had been transferred to the group company." i,e, the £100k liability had been transferred to Capita PLC which is the Group Company.
So you can now see why I've been saying the liability sits on CPI's books.
