Totally agree ref Toyota h2 refuelling - that is how Tesla made such a great success. I appreciate the infrastructure costs are far higher but they coukd start with cities first, get tax benefit subsidies etc build outwards. Payback can be over decades after the initial outlay. FC van fleets coming on board could use it also helping to offset costs. Tesla SP is a testament to gobsmacking risk taking.

As long as h2 is in the equation it bodes well for ITM Motive I guess. For cars, a small battery coupled with a fuel cell for range should work well especially while the h2 refuelling infrastructure is rolled out. They say the overall average car journey distance is 8 miles making routine home/work charging possible with occasional topping up of h2 when needed for longer journeys.

I have said for some time hybrid ev/battery is the way forward for cars - Prius and Corolla sell big numbers. Toyota announcement on their solid state battery expected soon plus rumours they may build the Apple car. Watch this space.

We need a h2 Elon Musk with vision, passion and ridiculously over-optimistic goals that everyone mocks then subsequently has to eat humble pie because they were miraculously exceeded.

Given the air cleaning properties of the Mirai, Toyota should do a deal with govt for subsidies to put hydrogen refuelling into its city main dealerships across UK spreading the cost over next 20 yrs to facilitate the transition from ICE and kick start this component of UK hydrogen strategy. Mirai won't sell without a refuelling network. City air quality is pushing up NHS costs so its a win win.

Offset by Mirai faster recharging time and maturity of drivers plus the average speed on road journeys in our UK congested traffic makes 0-60 timea bit academic. Enjoy the better than Bentley ride quality instead. James May is sold on it!

We need protests against fossil fuel subsidies - the general public are totally unaware of them. But in a way that does not antagonise and alienate the audience. Continuous protests outside all MP constituency party offices etc highlighting how much they are giving to ff to embarass them individually and be a constant thorn in their side would be more effective imho. Target the decision makers not the general public.

Are SNAM/Linde deals and internal projects using ITM electrolysers always transparent and publicised? To be accurate they all need to be included in the chart. Apologies if this was covered earlier.
