Like HS2 its a blank cheque project once its underway and Govt cant lose face by stopping it. No energy independence, 10 years and billions wasted in development that could have been applied to renewables and H2 storage. Another Afghanistan bottomless pit.

Cross channel immigrant arrivals 10x higher than pre-Brexit (Farage's main campaign promise debunked)
NHS staff shortages due to exodus of Eastern European doctors and nurses
HGV driver shortages ditto
No USA trade agreement
UK dropped from 4th to no longer being in top 10 of Germany trade Partners
NI border problem still unresolved
None of the above can be blamed on the Pandemic.......

Risk averse potential buyers are waiting for Govt decisions before committing to spending eg green light for gas blending into grid. Govt needs Tesla balls to kickstart supply and demand eg nationwide refuelling infrastructure like Tesla did in USA. Far to slow and timid to date. It needs pandemic procurement mentality not business as usual.

You have some fascinating stories Bilbo and sad that such potential is harmed in Russia by corruption and mistrust.
