Could the Assay results and other news may be held back until the ASX cross-listing?

I know Newmont haven’t taken over Newcrest yet, but I am sure the terms agreed by both companies wouldn’t allow this sale during the process.

Both companies would have to agree to it, and Newmont have already said they will update everything in February.

I thought the Wyloo money was needed to secure the bank loan for work up to first production.

As we are not using the finance yet, then we may be using the Wyloo money for the decline and Feasability study, unless the 50 million loan from Newcrest hasn’t been fully used up.

Regarding the 50 million loan, the interest rate, I think was 8% over base rate which is quite hefty now that inflation has taken its toll.

There was talk of paying that off with the new bank finance at a better rate of interest, to save money. However that seems a non starter now.

It will be interesting to see the financials, whennreported.

You have to wonder what GGP’s expenditure is on Havieron.

We had the 50 million credit which should have taken us to the Feasability study.

With delays to that study and the decline taking longer than expected with problems in the upper rock regions, has that 50 million been spent?

We are not going to finance as yet, so are we spending our own money on Havieron?

I said a day or two ago that Newmont agreed a deal with Newcrest based on the information to date at that time.

Can you imagine if Newcrest released new resource data and asked Newmont to up the price?

Unless you are going to sell on news, does it matter when that news comes out?

It is only if they do a share issue for the Aussie Institutions at the time of the ASX listing, that this could dilute the sp, when such news is forthcoming.

Unless it is accompanied by an equity raise, the Aussie Institutions will buy in at the same price as we can buy in now. Just as uk investors have been doing this morning.

If you think a substantial raise is due after the Asx listing, then buy now at these cheap prices.

Too many people are mixing them up and COULD be disappointed if there is no vote on the cross listing.

I am getting a bit confused over whether we are voting for an ASX listing or voting on the internal reorganisation, where a parent company sitsuated in Australia sits on top. Or voting on both.

Does the board need a vote on the cross listing? I know they do for the re-organisation!

I’m taking a contrarian view here and saying Shaun knows what he is doing. He is delaying the MRE until after the Newcrest/Newmont vote.

Newcrest shareholders will be asked to vote on the proposed takeover/merger in the next few months.

Could this be the reason why the resource estimates of their assets has not been updated?

A big increase in resources and their shareholders may suddenly say” Hold on we are worth more than Newmont are offering” and reject the deal.

Keep the estimates as they were and less chance of an upset in the voting.

Will Shaun wait to update the MRE till after the Newcrest vote?

The December quarter fits in nicely with that!

Whilst I agree with your sentiment, Shaun has to walk a diplomatic line here.

Will he produce an MRE, or would it suit shareholders if he waits till the new year?

After all the price of the 70% can only be factored on the value as shown on the last MRE! We could get it all back for a song. (Wishful thinking, I know)!
