Forgive my ignorance here, but what happens after the vote if or when successful?

It must take time to exchange Newcrest shares for Newmont ones etc, so are we looking at the New Year before everything is settled?

Wouldn’t it be difficult for both parties, if they updated the resource figures from Newcrests annual report and upon which a deal was agreed?

Having said that, if I was a shareholder in Newcrest, I would T be too happy if new information wasn’t brought to light before voting.

Could sell my 2 million at 5.85p, just now.

However playing devil's advocate what if;

1.He does have drill results but they are not dial turning ?

2. He does plan a raise ?

As much as I hope neither of the above happen that could answer why he isn't coming forward ?

My answer is at least we will know and we can get on, although it won’t help the sp in the short term. A placing at this price would be catastrophic if they want to raise funds to get finance for Telfer etc. Shaun would also be criticised if the placing was just to get institutions on board. Do I don’t think he would try option 2 unless he had something to blow the sp out of the water.

In respect of question 1, I think Shaun may be cautious about how he communicates drill results. Any outstanding results on our 100% tenements or on the Patterson South j/v and we could become an interesting takeover target. So poor results we take a hit. Good results and possible takeover target. Who wants to be CEO lol?

I have a lot of time and respect for Dip and what he writes.

Similarly with Shaun. I don’t doubt they are working hard out of the spotlight, but they need to communicate something to halt the decline in the sp.

I have said, I am staying until the end game, but I am in a position to do that. Others who got in at higher levels than myself, must be wondering whether it is worth staying in.

The other thing is, how many people who have kept faith, will sell out at break even, should that be achieved, thus possibly having an effect on future gains?

I don’t have any problem with you taking issue on my stance. It is my own personal choice and I do seek out the positives and negatives in situations.

Although I think Shaun needs to communicate with us, be it with drill results ( which should be to hand by now) or to say there will be no share raise, that doesn’t mean to say, I don’t acknowledge what a very difficult job he has to do.

Newmont put out a 400+ page document a week or two back about the acquisition, but I’m not sure if there was a firm date in it.

Being a shareholder doesn’t mean you sit back and wait. You have the right to question and examine what is happening.

Tough questions, yes, but also acknowledge what we have, which is good.

You have to acknowledge both the threats and positives in my opinion.

Doesn’t matter what you say Sharky, there are many like me who will hold on until the end game.

We will continue to collect when we can and keep a solid base of private investors in the company.

Easops fable of the wind and the sun comes to mind. You can try to use brute force to get our shares, but we will hold them even tighter until the sun comes out.

Shaun is rapidly running out of options. He surely cannot do a placing at this price and a consolidation will only give a better platform for more shorting to carry on.

Whilst it would be good to wait and see what happens with Telfer and the other 70% of Havieron, the news vacuum is not helping the sp.

We really need some information Shaun and an unequivocal statement to say a placing will not take place at this time.

Could this be related to the possible sale of shares by Five diggers (rns 14/7/22).

- a two-year restriction on dealing with the Greatland shares to be issued to Five Diggers Pty Ltd, comprising:

- 12-month lock in, which prohibits any disposals of the shares in this period, subject to carve outs (such as recommend takeovers), plus

- a subsequent 12-month orderly market arrangement, requiring that, during this period, the shares may only be traded in consultation with the Company's broker and through the Company's broker (subject to customary carve outs); and

I would be surprised if the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act would affect Havieron.

GGP have always maintained a good working relationship with the Martu people and involved them all along the way whilst developing Havieron.

I thought overseas investors minimum threshold for reporting was 5%?
