Ducks, ducks, ducks12 Sep 2023 07:51
Is it a coincidence that the ASX listing and reorganisation seem to fall around the time of the NCM/NEM vote?
I believe 14 days notice needs to be given to hold a general meeting, which will give shareholders an opportunity to vote for the reorganisation and perhaps the ASX listing. I’m not sure if before or after the vote a court order allowing the reorganisation is also required.
These processes alone could take us into the middle of October, just as the result of the Newcrest/Newmont merger is known.
Although Hydrogen (on the other board) states there will be no share issue, I cannot see Shaun missing the opportunity to have cash coming into the coffers via the Australian investors, rather than letting them buy in the market and losing it there. It makes much more sense to get it whilst you can.
With a possible cash raise and the merger completed, could #haun have already negotiated the sale of Telfer and Havieron to GGP?
All the ducks are lining up. Could it happen?
Footnote. Whilst I am against the raising of capital for no reason, I am not naive and know that whatever is proposed would get voted through by the bigger shareholders here. I just hope that something along the lines I outlined above, will be accomplished. Good luck all holders.
RNS to convene a general meeting during this week?
