RE: Some people have been smoking some crazy ****16 Mar 2021 08:53
It does demonstrate the power of a story on AIM and thus why Bushveld perhaps struggle with their love of making sure people are clear they can only know half of theirs at any one time. A mantra that was an exciting promise of things to come for a fledgling business has in some ways, at this juncture of increased market expectation upon Bushveld to now deliver, transitioned into a millstone weighing on our share price. Now the energy transition is upon us and the world is implementing it and it isn't just a vague possibility, the market wants answers as to the scale of Bushveld's role and how that will impact the profitability and revenue generation of the company. Shareholders are simply stuck in the middle between the expectation and the wait for the reality to be unveiled.
Let's be frank here, the FAR story is paper thin and full of holes, but it is being told with sub-plots of big-name investors and huge expansion (insert crying with laughter emoji) and unresearched AIM folk sadly just lap it up.
Arguably Bushveld are in some ways too understated for AIM, a market which likes drama and intrigue and 40% daily rises.
All that being said, my view is not that this is just poor strategy, it is because timing is critical for the plans that are being delivered. I am fully prepared to continue to support the business in that, but I, like everyone else want to start seeing threads being drawn together, not more layers of opacity being added. However you dress it up we are still 66% lower than our all time highs, 2.5 years after reaching them.
And it is galling to see money would have been more successful in FAR than BMN this year because BMN is absolutely the greater business.
