Do we all really think the current estimates for an SMR (£2bn-£3bn) will be achievable?
This is a significant (“major “) public infrastructure project… we all know they take longer and cost far more in the end. Shouldn’t we be doubling these figures?
Sure the idea is they will be commoditised and new SMRs will be churned out of a production line… but that’s going to be 5-10 years away at least.
Now the guy interviewed sells gas-based power generation, so he may be a bit biased when he says we can have 96% renewables and 4% gas -generated electric…
I’d like to see Kathryn Porter discuss this topic with Michael Liebrieich.
Wtf has the China/US roll-back of tariffs got to do with Brexit?
I’m just pointing out what’s happened: 34% on China on “Liberation Day” is now 30%. And will probably drop to 10% within the next 90 days.
30% or 10% increase on cost of Chinese imports for the US consumer to foot. No doubt a small price to pay for the greater good, according to The Orange One.
Funny how on “Liberation Day” China was top of the list with a 34% tariff - and now it’s 30%.
Good old Turnip - China has done nothing and his deal-making has got him boasting of 30% after a month. No doubt it will reduce 10% within the next 90 days. That’ll teach ‘em, eh Donnie!
