Gusto , I think we can all spot a shorter! A spike should be incoming sometime between now and the end of May. Better to be holding and off load into the spike (if you want to) as opposed to fighting the chart and well established seasonal trend.

I look at the MCAP not the sp. It is under £20m. In the circumstances I think that the market is well aware of the risks. But so kind of stockmaiden to continually list them!

The chart shows that Matad typically rises and goes much higher as the spring drilling season nears. The Sp normally increases by 2 or 3 times. On that basis this is not a spike just a reaction to positive news. If the political environment has at last changed (better late than never) we could see a nice rise as we go in to the summer.

Agreed guys. We need cashflow and evidence of turning rock into gold on a commercially viable basis.

Its not the SP because that can be low with billions of shares in issue and you still have a large MCAP (look at GGP). But to say the entire company is only worth £3m basically prices in commercial failure and a fire sale of assets. I don't believe that both Alba and Greenroc will fail. I have bought a tiny amount this am to average down. Money I am prepared to lose.

MCAP here circa £3m that is what is strange. There is literally zero success priced in here. Weird gold and Graphene yet zero success priced in. At this price in this market it must be worth a small punt.

Has anyone contacted the management and had a reply? I have watched videos etc. But what we need is cash flow from gold sales. Great that we drill, great that we are refining 2 tonnes of rock per day to produce concentrate. But is it commercially viable? Show me the money. The silence is deafening George.

The management of Alba should hang their heads in shame. What a shower. Gold at all time highs and the sp negligible. The lack of action and communication is a disgrace. A small holding of mine but as shareholders we had a right to expect much better.

Roxy, you need to remember the extra 350m shares issued in the summer. From this level 3-4 anytime in the next 3 months would be most welcome!

Manx, I think the chart suggests that March/April are when the SP leaps as the weather warms and people anticipate the next drill. If it’s goes up this year in Feb then I will not mind at all.

Looking at the charts this is typically a good time for Matad. Only a small holding for me but disappointing that funding fears remain and the SP continues to drift. My B/E is circa 4p. I remain hopeful of getting back in profit by mid year.

The thought of more dilution fills me with both anger and horror. Matad has massive potential. I sit and wait and see. I have no opinion just hope. This is a small holding for me because bitter experience has taught me to treat such opportunities as high risk gambles with money I am prepared to lose. Any one who thinks they are "invested" here is delusional. This is not an investment. It is a gamble.

Bamps you seem to be the most knowledgeable poster here and I would therefore appreciate your input. We know that Hav is the jewel in the crown and that in the interim Telfer is a cash cow. The assumption is that we will need all the cash to develop Hav. Is that your view? If not some of this cash could be used for share buybacks and cancellation. As we all know the sp is the MCAP divided by shares in issue. It is the quantity of shares that will constrain the SP.

Topslicer, I guess it depends on timescales and Hav. However, I do not see it negative to talk about potentially tripling my money over the next 18 months. I increased my holdings this morning on this potentiality. If the market genuinely believed it should be 10x its current value it would be already. You work it out!

People see a 7p SP and get excited. I see a MCAP of nearly £1bn. I can see the MCAP increasing to 2-3bn. A good outcome leading to the SP bagging 2-3 times. Too many shares to get the 10x that some on here are expecting. GLA

After a 20% plus gain yesterday some profit taking was inevitable. The fact that thus far it has only dropped back circa 2% speaks volumes. In the past we had hope and sentiment. The sentiment remains but now actual production should replace hope to provide a robust investment basis. Larger investors like to see numbers "show me the money". Assuming those numbers are positive the SP will harden. GLA

Essentially this is a trading share. If you buy and hold you lose. Dips and spikes. One day it may change but in the meantime be agile, don’t bet the farm and accept the game for what it is.

I don’t post often but it is good to read magazine articles recommending the stock with valuations north of the current sp. Dilution, hold ups etc have taken a heavy toll and I don’t believe 50p is realistic. The articles mention 12p , maybe. I prefer to look to a more modest 6p sp. A 4 bag from here would be welcome and should leave most in profit (assuming LTH’s have traded/averaged down). GLA
