I thought it funny to be classed as a ramper . My crime is bringing people’s attention to the seasonal price action on this stock. Apologies for anyone making money as a result!

100% agree Bamps. If Hav is delayed it is no longer an issue as it requires funding. In the meantime the provider of funding has just increased by 9 x with more resource increases to be announced.

I think that people should listen to what Shaun is saying and stop reading the sometimes desperate posts here. He said that in April they will post numbers to show what Telfer can really do in terms of cashflow. They are drilling more and expect to further increase the resource. If Telfer is going to be a cash cow (and it is) delays on Hav are not an issue. They have just announced 9 times more gold at Telfer than they estimated with more to come. I am not a ramper just one very happy shareholder looking forward to the sp rising over the coming months. If the cash flow is going to be extremely strong and Hav delayed then I would prefer share buy backs than consolidation (with some of the excess cashflow. We have a long term cash cow guys …..

Telfer has 9 times more gold than thought. A 0.84p increase in the SP does not reflect the magnitude of this RNS. I don't think that it is helpful to speculate on what the SP "should" be but I think the SP can go significantly higher.

I am surprised to see 1.22 breached. My intention is to build to 1% of my portfolio. I currently have 0.5% following earlier purchase. With support breached I will hold off buying more for now.

I have been watching the company for a while looking for an entry point. Just dipped my toe in at under £1.26. I didn't expect to get this opportunity. Looking at the charts it could go a little lower but there should be strong resistance around £1.22 so downside should be limited. GLA

Stockmaiden we can all read and are aware of historic placings. It is another element to be considered whilst trading. I am getting bored by you continually mentioning a threat that anyone who has done even 5 minutes of research is aware of.

Stockmaiden , it’s called trading! This is a trading stock that may one day really deliver. In the meantime rational people trade the spikes and dips and only “invest/ gamble” what they can afford to lose. A bit like Microstrategy…..

Share rises so people do some puts . Thereafter they fill the bb with negativity. Predictable, nauseating and boring. Totally unnecessary. Anyone with half a brain knows that if say 15p was nailed on by June it would be circa 14.8 p already instead of sub 2. This is a very high risk investment and for most would thus be a tiny slither of their portfolio. So spare us the nonsense about the house deposit! Back in the real world Matad normally has spikes between now and the end of May built on hopes for the drilling season. This year hopes may or not be justified. In the meantime the spikes are historically typically far higher than 2p. DYOR .

The seasonality of spikes is clear for all to see. Positive RNS's would add fuel to the fire. Quite a few spikes around April and May. Based on history this in a time to buy not sell. DYOR

There is an old saying”show me the money’. To a large extent institutions like numbers to analyse. At the moment it is all about projections based on a previous non producer. Once the money rolls in the bean counters can analyse. That is when serious forecasts happen based on current profit and future profit.

People seem to get excited about the current spot price of gold. That is good for current cash flow. However, do not expect the NAV to instantly reflect current prices . Lots of positives here with every reason to hope for a 3x bag in 12 months based on profits. A market expectation of higher (or lower) future earnings could lead the sp lower or even greater than a 3x bag. GLA

Well simple me I just googled the average p/e for gold mining stocks. It came up with 47 stocks at an average of 24.98.

The shocking thing is that the total MCAP, including Greenroc , is circa £1.5m. How on earth has that happened? I made a tiny purchase previously on the back of zero upside priced in, given the MCAP. George has dropped it further, something I feel is an achievement in itself. The market has zero confidence in this. The only thing that puzzles me is how he got an institution to participate, unless they forward sold.

george must think we are mushrooms since we are kept in the dark and fed ****. no update on production and all the costs of a placing for just 75k. he clearly just sees shareholders as idiots who provide free money. why get a loan which needs repaying when you can just use share coin. reminds me of sanderson at udog. probably blood brothers who went to the same seminar on how to make shareholders feel stupid.

I believe that the average P/E ratio for this sector is 25. So using Velo's calculations that is 151k x 25 = circa 3.7bn mcap. Current mcap is 1.1bn so sp should treble. Soundss good to me!

Gusto, as someone who rarely posts I am surprised to be on your ramper trader list. My main observation is simply to do with charts and the seasonal nature of Matad spikes. If that makes me a ramper then call me a ramper, lol. In the meantime Gusto really!!

Hmmm. We have a market cap of over 1.1bn. That would put us in the Ftse250 at position circa 200. The reason our sp is so low is the amount of shares. Do not let the sp be your guide. Plenty of upside here but some pretty delusional posters who clearly have no idea that an sp is MCAP divided by shares in issue.

Anyone with even half a brain knows that no share goes up in a straight line. People profit take along the way. It is very healthy and thus far we have only lost under 5% of the recent gain. Far too early to see if this is healthy profit taking on the way higher or the start of a fall. Some pretty intellectually derelict posting on here!

One thing that doesn't change is the seasons. With the warmer weather comes opportunity and optimism . The SP responds accordingly. If the optimism is misplaced then you get a rise followed by a fall (spike). If it is well founded the SP rises further. In both scenarios the SP initially rises. History tells us that the sp has some way to go just based on seasonality. In the meantime Gusto please short as much as you can .
