V: I think there will be a boost in leisure shares when Boris makes the announcement. Some people will think "I've just a brilliant lightbulb moment....I think I should buy Travel and pubs....aren't I brilliant?". At least I hope this is what will happen.

As the S part of S & M, no, didn't sell OCDO on open. Had an alert at 2065 set but it didn't activate.

Is it time for me to take my head out of the sand yet? I am doing almost no trading lately, calm but not profitable for me. I am out of touch with CCL after their 10% decline yesterday, maybe today is their recovery (again). Good luck all.

Not a good day at Sad Towers, Things I didn't do include selling CCL on the peak just before 9 then buying back later, I also didn't sell OCDO at 2055, the price of my limit sell, They got close though.
According to T line on the 10 min chart I should have sold CCL at 1283 at about 2pm but didn't. Oh dear. And a subsequent rebuy is not yet indicated!!
On the positive side, I did get some more work done on the studio.

Yes, T, admire your plan and wish you lots of luck and a following wind. As V says, I will also send in my £9K and await developments! LOL.

R: I use alerts extensively on IG, I have them setup to come to my mobile phone as well as on screen on the laptop. Incidentally, I get alerts originating (i.e. set up on) both my partners ISA account and mine with both coming to same mobile phone. Very convenient.

T: well that's alright. You did OK, I sold too soon for stupid reasons but as we well know, a profit is a profit. I also bought back in at 1252, a bit jammy there.

Too late for sensible advice, sold CCL at 1273. Improved my weekly figures but absolutely stupid criteria to trade on.

Oh dear, decisions, decisions. CCL I bought earlier are now in sufficient profit that I could sell and be in profit for the week, albeit a tiny one. Where do we think the CCL price is going up to and after the US open?

T: actually most if not all of the FTSE 100/250 went to auction, perhaps a systems fault.

Just bought CCL at 1254. T line wasn't indicating but I saw a slight inflexion in the ema8 target line at the same time as my neighbours black cat walked across the garden from right to left, very important that, so it seemed churlish not to buy.

It's probably that confidence inspiring, world beating, track and trace app that the IOW like so much that they simply refuse to allow off the island. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Just gone over my figures for the week and I've "made" -1.7% of my target for the week. (is that even a valid metric?)
Anyhow, I am casting about now looking for what I can buy and sell today to get into positive territory. I am tempted to say it will be a non-stampy share but that isn't obvious at the moment.

I am out of CCL at the moment but would buy back in on a fall. I haven't got confidence they will rise to your prediction today T. Funny morning here, no alerts have gone off which is a sure sign that my sell prices are way out of line which means in turn that I bought too expensively.

m: competition? You wouldn't have to do very well to beat my performance lately, I am on tract for a loss this week, first time since January.

T: Yes, thanks Birthday party went fine. It was raining but warmish so I rigged up a tarpaulin canopy to allow us to sit outside.

V: Those figures on CCL, your buy and sell prices, you got a nice range, I only got 35p so I am going to have to run faster to keep up with you. (That's if you're up of course! LOL)

Sold my CCL this afternoon at 1259. If I had been at home on the laptop, I think I would have improved on that and achieved 1270 but working from a smartphone with iffy reception, I am happy. Interestingly, following the T line indication on 10 min chart, it would probably only have given me 1251, this being the point where a trend reversal was indicated.

T: your bad reception on satellite could be simply the bad weather, it is a known effect. Also it could be because the alignment is very slightly off but in good weather it isn't an issue. The other problem have seen is that if the dish is in an exposed position, the wind can sometimes cause bad alignment.

Said I was staying in cash but I have bought CCL at 1223. Oooops
