V: Well I had some CINE bought at an embarrassingly high price so when you and T were talking about them I had a look and luckily, I bought some but will hold out past this early profit I think.
T: My place in France is just about finished and I think I would need more than a million to employ staff to maintain a chateau. I am trying to down size/down scale my life, thing is, the only thing I seem to be down sizing is my (small) fortune. Ha.
Got materials delivered monday to finish the roof, started to do just that yesterday but rain rather stopped play. On CCL, are you reading the posts on the CCL board?
m: Have just checked and I bought ASC at 3475 so you are in a better position than me. I really should have taken the small profit I was offered yesterday. Good luck with yours.
Crikey Brigadiers, there is more chat on here at weekends than during the week!! Are you all on double time or something? I am pleased to read it all though, trading can be a very lonely business and can be a bit abstract although there is nothing abstract about one's account balance going down or up.
V: There seems to be many similarities in our trading style, it has taken me 35 years of trading to get to this point and you are here arfter a few months...I'm impressed and simultaneously disappointed in my own performance. I must try harder.
The Covid situation is getting worse rather than better, mass gatherings like at Bournemouth are simply crazy but does illustrate rather graphically the pent up demand to return to "normality". Apparently 10m people worldwide have the virus and 5%, half a million have died. How can we not take this seriously and I include the young there. Keep safe Brigadiers, especially you L, it looks like you are particularly vulnerable
m: yes, good afternoon....we even welcome part timers (like me).
V: We have similar trading flaws, it's FOMO really, we buy into something that is sort of rising just to see it fall, then cut losses and sell something just to see it rise. I hope the fact that yo u are not alone is some encouragement!!?!
T: a total of 13 trades this week but I would have been better off without the last two, selling CCL then buying back at higher cost. Something wrong there, I must look into that.
Well I never, PLUS didn't have their usual spike towards the bell....quite the opposite actually. I am glad to be back making regular profits from plus (albeit only 1 or 2%) but I guess I was greedy hoping for two bites of the cherry today. Have a nice weekend all, next week is already a clean sheet.
T: I wonder wether you just bought back into CCL. I have sold mine at 973, looking at other sector companies in US, they are down a lot more so I have baled out. (which means I have wiped out my weeks profits...Doh)
This is remarkable but I have only done 11 trades this week, IG share price will be falling on that news as I am sure they like my custom!! I have a feeling CCL are going to gain this afternoon so am thinking to rebuy quite soon, already kicking myself that I could have bought under 1000 half an hour ago. Maybe I will wait for the shake up that usually occurs when the US market opens and before it settles into a trend.
