V: Get a man in? GET A MAN IN? You are sounding like my partner who can't understand why I have to do everything myself. It is because I am a tight git and if I have time to spare I will try to do it myself, so far, touch wood, I have improved things generally as I know DIY can actually make things worse.
I think I would have been about £125 up if I had sold PLUS at 1305, I guess there is always tomorrow.
I made just slightly more than my target last week and that was mostly on the monday, mostly luck again. I am not expecting to get to my target (about 3 Tesla wiper blades) this week unless there is a big upturn. Actually the FTSE seems to be heading north and there is talk of another FED stimulus package so who knows. As Scarlett O'Hara said "tomorrow is another day" so she was obviously using the T system back then.
That reminds me, I have some FEVR to shift too.

We have been out spending my lack of profits...I needed more hardware and wood etc but why we needed more bird feed I'm not really sure. Then a length of castiron guttering fell off the roof so I have been fixing that as well, then.....and so it goes on.

m: look out for those snakes! I was bitten by an adder a few years ago. I was moving a pile of grass cuttings, at the time it happened I just thought it was a nettle sting.

A: I think that's good advice. It's FOMO stopping me!! I want prices to go up a little so I can sell out at a "reasonable" price. I am deluding myself but can't stop doing it.

T: Understand what you are saying about CCL, I certainly can't read it at the moment. Not sure I ever did fully but when it used to follow certain patterns it was considerably easier to trade.

Bubbles are a fact of life on the markets but as a "sport"?? It's scary stuff but I can believe it is happening. Maybe the whole market is a bubble at the moment and everyone is just trying to make a few quid more before the inevitable crash. FOMO is a very powerful force, it has affected my investment (gambling, lets call it what it is) decisions.
With the Hertz example it is a bit like investing in a ponzi scheme, knowing it is a ponzi but thinking if you are early you can make a good return and get out safely.

The implication on the OCDO board is that the recent raising of £1B "may" be a war chest to purchase SEGRO

L: Yes, I need to do less staring at screen and less trading would be good too. Twice this week I have traded very badly and bought just before a downturn by NOT watching the longer term trend.

I am really off my game today (well this week really), I was diddling about trying to buy CCL at 1286 thinking to save a penny and the price got away from me. Double Doh!
I am going back to my woodwork, it's more fun.

R: Thanks, if/when I get around to complaining to IG again, it is useful to be able to say that it is happening with more than one version of windows.
I am now using google finance chart, at least the price is live I think.

As a one time computer programmer, perhaps the CCL graph problem is a software error with the first graph to be loaded in the morning. CCL was my first graph. Yes, I have logged out and back in but not switched the computer off and on again. Also, R, what version of windows are you using, mine is 7.

Made an error trying to improve my CCL position, sold much too cheap. Doh. Glad I have done some woodwork this morning.

athe odd thing about this particular IG charting problem is that it is only affecting CCL. How can that be happening? I have tried logging out and reloading. I have tried exiting CCL from "my workspace", then adding it back into the workspace, still rubbish. It works on very long time periods 2hr and longer but on all the shorter periods it is confused. It displays correctly for about a second when you first select a different time period, then goes wrong. Doh.

And another thing, why is my favourite share that I love to hate, namely MRW, doing so badly? What is going on that a supermarket should suffer so much lately? Am I deluded? as I expect them to yes, suffer the shocks, extra costs of the virus etc, then gradually recover, but no.

Studio progress report. Have built the framework for a wall of glass and got a door in place (plastic door won from local skip). Currently making glazing bars and positioning them so that I can use the miscellaneous sheets of glass I have collected (from skips). Straightened some secondhand nails the other day......can you see a theme here? I can't actually spend money on it but will have to put my hand in my pocket for some new roofing.....although my partner has volunteered to pay......result!
