Just sold CCL at 1022 for a 2.5% profit. small potatas but takes my weekly profit to just over 50% of my target.

T: I know how you feel about shorting, actually I feel the same but Ls point, if I may say so, is to try and make profits on the rises AND the falls. Love it, can we also make profit when it's standing still? Ha. No if I was more disciplined and confident in the way I trade now I would be more successful and a happy bunny. It all comes down to the fact that we have different approaches. I sometimes feel that I put a lot of time and effort into merely scratching a profit but know that I could be a leaner, meaner profit maker.

L: Thanks, I have googled ema 34 and have lots of hits suggesting strategies, mostly relating to Forex trading. Is there a particular youtube on it that you would care to recommend?
I am still somewhat opposed to shorting, it kinda scares me. Do you remember that Guinness advert that said something like "I know I don't like Guinness because I've never tried it"?

L: I am one of those who find it hard to realise a small loss to prevent bigger losses developing. I try not to realise any losses of course, but would be better served if I did.
I have the brown ema34 line set up on my graphs, have done since you first mentioned it to me but I find I am not using it. Please remind me what I should be doing with it, sorry.
I have started using 15m chart as a method of reducing my number of trades as I am not so twitchy on the buys and sells with the longer time charts. A few weeks ago I was doing up to 30 trades a day, now the last two weeks it has been 10/week and 12 trades/week. My weekly profits have reduced massively but I put that down mostly to having stock bought too expensively 2 or 3 weeks ago so my active trading pot is quite small at the moment.

Immediately I wrote that, CCL T line indicated buy at 994.

Sorry, sold OCDO at 2027.5, very happy as I got the top of 3 spikes.
Interesting that T line for CCL on 15 min chart is still not indicating a buy although there was a profit to be made this morning,

I really must protest that the apparent "standard" or rather lack, of auditing. The occaisional problem I can accept but it seems to be happening too often and involving some rather large companies, CLLN, NMC Health and now this Wirecard outfit. Why can't they be held to account? Are the auditors themselves "too big/important to fail". They need stringing up, all of them. (except L of course as I suspect him of being an accountant, excuse me L)

Doh, Feeling stupid as I was outside moving some pallets for the last 10 mins of play, so missed my expected spike on PLUS that I had waited hours for....probably could have sold another tranche at 1305/6.

V: Yes, I have OCDO and JDW too. I am a little surprised at JDWs lack of performance. I can understand them standing still but to actually go down as we get closer to open pubs (albeit tightly controlled) is disquieting.

V: my high CCL were bought at 1252. 1130s are reachable in a day or so but 1480? that will take a very good few days. but hang on in there. I am informed that Brittany ferries are starting passenger ferrys from next Monday, maybe CCL will be watching proceedures there.

V: Actually, I am expecting a bit of a rise tomorrow. Will buy CCL back when the T leaves say so!! I already have another tranche of CCL bought a week or so ago at a high price.
Interestingly IG wont give me a quote to buy CCL but ii will.

Trying to religiously follow T line indication on CCL 15 min chart using ema 8. So I have jst sold at 1000p

Back from our regular thursday shopping trip, pleased that a limit sale of PLUS at 1304 was activated for a 3% profit. Also glad that finally PLUS are getting my tranches back into contention. I have 3 more only two are in profit. Decided that CCL had gone down far enough, used 15 min chart (more "trend sensitive than 10 or 2 min) and T line indicated buy so at 14:29, just before US open, I bit the bullet and "pushed the boat out" (sorry) and bought CCL at 976.

Day out at the coast yesterday, fish and chip supper and taxi home and change out of two and sixpence...actually spent more than I earnt yesterday!! I don't know, leave the market alone in the hands of the brigade company and what happens? It all turns to rubbish. Lets hope we get it back together today. Good luck all.

Looks like the market will be generally down today, FTSE down 0.6%.
On CCL US closed 4.5% up so I am a little hopeful for a small rise there. We are going to the seaside today, a deserted little beach we know in Cornwall, loovely jubbly, then a fish and chip takeaway, it doesn't get much better than that.
