T...yes, fully agree market is corrupt and it always seems to hit us "small time" private investors the most. I don't think MM stands for Market Makers, it stands for Money Makers. I expect I am just jealous. I shouldn't be really, I am doing "OK" but know I could do better. Have you noticed the CGT changes conversations going on? I am astounded at the ignorance of some contributions to the chat boards, these are people that I assume trade regularly and know the present CGT rules. Ha! I think the HMRC should make a better effort to catch people who make substancial capital gains on shares and don't declare it. I even know somebody doing this and bragging about it! I want to make lots of money, just like the next man, but I never begrudge paying tax on the profits. I must be stupid.
I understand the chancellor, needs funds and yes, upping CGT is a way of doing that but of course it is only us saps that actually already declare and pay it who will end up paying more. Oh dear, rant over.

I see the Pyser guy is coming in for lots of stick from other pharma chiefs for releasing vaccine results before normal protocol dictates, i.e. after peer review etc. Think he really was just after a better price for his shares. That really makes me mad.
By trading like mad, I have got back to being only 0.5t down on where my portfolio was last friday and I am hopeful of NCYT going back up to at least £10 and some more recovery in SNG and AVCT.
Bought back into PLUS at 1436 earlier so hope to get back onto my daily PLUS routine of making small profits often.
Am watching and waiting when to buy back into ASC. I sold half of my extra NCYT earlier at 868, These are the extra ones that I bought on tuesday at 715. Nice profit though.

NCYT holders note RNS today about EO buying £496K of shares yesterday. Massive vote of confidence there. Whereas AVCT CEO the other week sold a lot of his holding "to help buy a house". Also noticed the the Pzyser chief sold a lot of shares on the day of the vaacine announcement.

V...glad to see you're back into things. Nice trade on ggp, I was waiting for more than 22.5 but never got a better offer than exactly 22.5. I was stupid, I should have accepted it for those that I bought just over 21.2p on Tuesday, breaking news, just sold them at 22.535, whoopee, get the merlot breathing!. Made one sell on ASC, and one on plus. Nice profits but somehow I think there is quite a lot more to be had from plus. Have bought back some cine at 47.8 bit high but think it'll be alright for a quick small profit tomorrow.
Had my finger on the sell but for ncyt and actually had an offer at 838, double doh, that would have been nice, these were the extras I'd bought on Tuesday at 715. Somehow I never seem to be able to sell ncyt, only buy. Ha.

Hope we're all still standing. I am thinking of kneeling tomorrow. Very disappointed that the chat rooms were down today. They can be a useful tool in turbulent times.
I sold CCL just before the peak so was rather lucky there. Also sold about half my CINE. I bought PLUS at 1390something, remember how I complained about missing buying them last week below 1400. On reflection, I think I should have waited for 1300. Ha.
Quite a white knuckle ride and Tesla's in and out and back in. Wish it was the weekend tomorrow, I need a rest. Also everything seems to be breaking there, first my dishwasher started washing the kitchen floor, then my printer gave up the ghost, then my laptop refuses to connect to the internet. Turns out to be a software problem, maybe I have collected a virus. Oh well.
I think the market will be somewhat calmer tomorrow. Good luck all.

Discovered some mining outfit in Mexico called Brigadier Gold, bit of an oxymoron I would say. I am in negotiations with them over the use of our name.

I am expecting some fireworks again today but I am going to try and sit on my hands.

O...TCM suitor is continuing to buy shares, TCM reached 169 yesterday, I was ready to sell but feel decidedly greedy in current climate so have held.

V...Love your Tesla/garage/copper pipe comment. I sympathise with you. Hang on in there. As we know these are volatile times, opportunities are there not just to make a trofit but big profits. I would advise hanging onto GGP, I even bought more, twice.
I could be wrong but I think NCYT will return strong but not quickly.

T...yes I'm sanguin, well, I have to be I suppose. I am expecting a bounce on NCYT and other AIM pharmas (and GGP) over the next few sessions. I also expect a retracement in the travel and leisure stocks but I am not so confident. I have left the garage doors open for tesla deliveries but am not as confident as I was earlier.

O...yes, lots of continuous trouble with IG platform on my laptop. The graphs were ahead of the advertised BUY/SELL prices on some of the stocks. My trades although accepted took ages to register in my holdings...even slow to update the history. Some never did until I logged out and back in. On JET2 the prices froze for over an hour, an hour!!, around 1 or 2pm. I found my mobile phone app much more stable and never had a problem with the ii platform.
You are right, there are lots of logistical problems yet to come with the vaccine, -80%?? crikey does that mean using a liquid nitrogen mixture or something? Still, it is an advance, we need some hope and it seems there are several other vaccines on the verge of reporting their trial results.

Well I haven't seen such massive changes since the brexit vote or even black monday.
Ironic that I should be so concerned about the effect of a vaccine on my pharma shares when 2 hours later, I found out!!
Fortuneately I discovered the reason that I have so many shareholdings, three went down 30%, six went up 30% plus several went up between 10 and 45%. What a day. I am doggedly and perhaps foolishly, a fanof the testing companies and did in fact buy more NCYT. Apart from a dip in the gold price, I could see no reason for the 9% decline of GGP so I bought more of them. Sokld TUI, IAG,JET2 and CCL..expecting a bit of a retrace tomorrow as the practical realities sink in. So the repo men took about 5 teslas but I think I got back 3.5. Not too bad considering. Desparate for a drink now.
IG platform let me down several times, the mobile phone app became much more stable and up to date than the website as accessed by my laptop. The problems resulted in me buying twice as many GGP as I wanted as it appeared to reject my first buy. Also I became a follower od ADVFN for info and am very dissapointed that LSE falls over when there is a lot of traffic.
Hope we are all still standing. I was thinking of you, T, when IAG went up, I knew you would take the chance to get out of them. Well done.

Keep thinking about inevitable big retrace in corvid test stocks when vaccine actually arrives. Science and logic tells me that testing will be needed for many months if not years but it comes down to sentiment. That is what will pull the price of ncyt, avct et al down.

Not happy with my performance this week, although many of my holdings are up on the week, I have only banked less than 10% profit. Seriously thinking of rejigging my portfolio to maximise profits.
I was stupid in turning my back on PLUS when, as I have said, I wanted to buy at 1400 and didn't, then pride kept me from buying slightly higher and not beneftting from the "usual" uplift they get at the end of the day. Stupid, stupid, stupid, one spends months if not years watching a particular share's pattern to then ignore it! Doh.
I managed to dig myself out of needing to raise money to fund my ii account. There were several ways I could have done this but in the end I chose one which turned out to cost me almost no penalty. Phew.
The wine is breathing, Merlot this time, have a good weekend
all and I shall raise a glass if the result is Biden 1 Trump 0

R....I hated doing it, but sold about half my HEMO holding to buy TUI at 317 earlier which are now showing a profit thankfully. HEMO have also gone up, hoping to sell the TUI later at a profit and buy back "MY" HEMO when/if they fall back. Not sure if all this churning is worth the effort though.

T....Yup, good plan.

T....strongly advise you don't go on IAG board, some people say things just to wind you up. That's what it looks like to me. I understand your position, trying to explain things and pointing out the positives in current virus developments. I have stopped reading them, you could too or maybe filter them all, don't tell them you have but continue to post developments and suggestions. After all, there are lots of people reading the board for insights but not posting, such as me for example. On a lighter note...the best thing about banging your head against a wall is the relief when you stop.

R...have you bought back into TUI yet? or CCL? I would be tempted at 316 and 887 but I haven't got any free cash at the moment.

R...really well done on your TUI and CCL trades, I am messing around with TCM and PLUS but not making as good percentages as you. Congratulations.
