O...yes I think all of us would be day traders suffer from the falling share price just after we buy. I think V is a particularly well practised exponent of the art.

V...my word, I didn't even recognise two thirds of those artists in your list. My list would start with Frank Ifield, Joe Brown (and the bruvvers), Tom Paxton, The Strawbs, Moody Blues, Rick Wakeman, The Beach Boys, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Who, Animals, Screaming Lord Sutch, Gordon Giltrap, Kinks(at a festival in Kent the same weekend as the Isle of Wight festival...I choose poorly!). For many years we have been going to half a dozen festivals a year (except this year of course) so the following we saw are music festivals: Leonard Cohen, Bombino, Tinariwen, Aurelio, Affro Cuban all-stars, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Rodrigues et Gabriella, Several of the Buena Vista social Club, Billy Bragg. Sika, Glitzy Baghags, Three daft Monkeys, Gadjo,. Mostly these days I listen to world music (which I play while trading) but I've only been to 2 WOMADS. We have been to every Green Gathering and a few Big Green Gatherings before that. I know there are more artists but my memory fades. We've seen a few tribute bands too and I am always impressed with them. I was once staying in a small hotel in Stoke on Trent, the dining room had one very large table, came down to breakfast and there was a Status Quo Tribute band having breakfast...it was spooky, they were dead ringers.
But V, surely you must have been to the Caven?

sOLD hALF my CCL at the close at 1202, was having trouble getting quotes so had to settle for 12o2.
Bit dissapointed with TCM, I should have sold at 161 but thought there was more to be had. Also my first foray into TTG hasn't shown me instant gratitude...it's OK though, I can wait.
Hope others did well today. FTSE closed slightly positive and I am expecting the FTSE to be up at least 0.5% tomorrow especially if the US market makes some good gains as the general virus buzz settles in.

m...my decision to buy CCL, based on my emotional use of the Runge–Kutta method failed at 14.30 but now seems to be working out, slightly. Maybe I would get better results using guesswork...

O....my patience (or stupidity) has been rewarded, I have bought some TTG at 220.

T....yes, sold half of my CCL, I didn't want to be completely out. As I see it at the moment, several shares are like a row of fireworks with the blue touchpaper already alight. Thinks are going to happen.

Another exciting day yesterday, not especially happy with how I handled it but managed to take a few modest profits.
Around mid morning I posted about some of the bands and singers I had seen but LSE lost it and I was too busy to type it in again. Doh.

O.... for my sins I have bought back into TCM. ALso, have looked into TTG and decided to buy but was waiting for them to go below 220.... still waiting but they went up to 224. Aaaarrh.

NCYT and SNG could drop again today before starting their recovery...you see my confidence?

Best concert I've been to was ELP (Emerson Lake and Parmer) at the big apple in Brighton, Santana at the Royal Albert hall and it was good to see Leonard Cohen at the Big Chill a few years back. We usually go to 5 or so festivals a year (except this year) including going to every Green Gathering since they started and a couple of Big Green Gatherings before that.

The Times today had a double page article on Ugur Sahin and his wife Ozlem Tureci, the combo doctors, CEO and chief scientist of Biontech (partnered with Pfizier). They are generally regarded as being instrumental in the vaccine development. A more altruistic pair you couldn't imagine, well worth reading. The were also the subjects of Profile on Radio 4 just now.
